@Bellerephon In that case, you'll hate Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn books :-)
@Himarm I just finished reading the Mistborn trilogy, and by God that ending took my breath away! While I still stand by my assessment of Sanderson's poor writing on a local scale (e.g. reusing the same words too much in descriptions), I must say he's a brilliant writer when it comes to overarching plot. After finishing the last book, I spent a few hours thinking about all the clues laid from the very beginning and how cleverly they fit together in the end.

Like, Allomancers with a single power are called Mistings. Mistings, for heaven's sake! How could I have missed the connection with the mists?
I was expecting Demoux and his bunch to be Mistborn rather than Seers, but oh well.
And the writing style in those pre-chapter excerpt things never sounded like Vin, while it fits the scholarly Sazed perfectly.

I feel a blog review coming on ...

@Randal'Thor thats his first trilogy, the second set of mistborn is even better and hea grown alot in his actual writing and his world building has grown exponentially
it only gets better!
