In Sakura no Mori no Mankai no Shita(Under Cherries in Full Bloom), at the end the maid of the maiden or the former ytoungest wife of Shigemaru was given the letter "We'll be back soon, wait for us", but neither Shigemaru nor her wife came back.
This one's a heavy spoiler, don't hover unless you...
I don't see a reason why someone asking about an event in Wing Gundam needs to specify in the question that they are referring to Wing, when the tag should
@nhahtdh probably [{series name}-live] tag. ATM, I don't see a use for a [live-action] tag as, the only reason it's on topic is because it's an adaptation of an anime/manga with real ppl
Tokusatsu like Ultraman is offtopic after all, but questions about their manga and anime adaptations are on-topic. Therefore no need to have a [tokusatsu] tag IMO.
I'd rather the tags focus on the series and franchise
For spin offs with different names like index or railgun, we can have a general tag like [raildex-series] or [a-certain-series]
I'd like to make better use of tag wikis which we have been neglecting for a while now
i think nhahtdh is proposing a more combinatory tag system, where you tag individual stuff where it associates eg. [FMA] [FMA:BH][Live-Action][FMA:BH-LiveAction] for example? or am i wrong
@Tyhja in order for the [live-action] tag to be useful, it should be able to stand on it's own, like [anime-production], not as an accessory
Asking about live action production is off topic
Instead, more likely than not you would ask about the production of a specific live action adaptation of an anime or manga series, using the series tag.
I don't remember anything but this one scene.
There is a shrine or temple and someone is carrying boxes. They trip or something and these beads fall out. The beads do something to the character and not too far off is a couple people reading under a tree. Then a fight breaks out.
That's all I ca...
Let's see... meta-tagging doesn't work since it opens a can of worm for off-topic questions, and it also doesn't work for series w/ multiple anime series.
krazer's proposed solution is to attach those information in the tag name, but I guess we are going to hit the limit even more often
That will defeat the purpose of tagging, since people can't find the right tag for the question
@nhahtdh there's been attempts by other SEs like arqade, but it's there's a precedence of it being declined.
I think we should start prioritizing accessibility if we want to attract more active users
.
many new users come here thinking it's another forum and get frustrated because they don't understand the format and either never comeback, or delete their account
@nhahtdh the schema I'm going for is as such: if a full series name can fit, use it if not, abbreviate or ommit common words, as long as it's distinguishable. They do this for long game/series titles on Arqade and SFF
problem is i find hard to search tag, most of the time, though i rarely search tags :)
most of the time i search from Japanese name or name shown in OP and then i can't find it and google the alternate name of the anime and search the tag
If Saitama can crush a meteor, how can he not kill a simple mosquito? I mean he practised so hard to reach the stage where he is today! He should have killed it.
@ToshinouKyouko instead of an wait and see approach, we should go in and try getting our hands dirty, we we make a mistake we'll learn from it. Waiting for something to takes too long as we're often indecisive because we're a community of relatively inexperiened users with varying or in different views on things
@ToshinouKyouko we lack a pipeline, and what I'm suggesting is an iterative cycle. Collect data, prototype policy, collect feedback, make changes, repeat
Since the we can decide what to do, someone should propose a course if action, if it works we keep it. If not, we try to see if we can change it. If that doesn't work we'll drop it and try again.
We can then analyze where we fell short and how to overcome these problems.
@ToshinouKyouko I'll do the first iteration on my own if I have to, but these things have to be done by someone if we want to move forward. I'd rather hear from someone that disagrees with me than hearvno response at all.
No one should get offended or be afraid of speaking up.
A lot ppl only get involved when something takes form, but I'm trying to do it give it form by suggesting a direction. The community can then help take it wherever it needs to go.
It will be a long and detailed spec that will take me three hours to write and it will be detailed like you're reading a book, but not as reasonable and well formed as Logan's posts.
@Memor-X it's all done via ajax, you can check the calls via a network sniffer, like crone dev tools

While I'm not against krazer's suggestion, the introduction of the specific series tag will exceed the limit of tag length, and we would end up with inconsistent names for tags with same parent
ATTN: Gift Conspirators, if you participated and got a gift in the mail, you should post to least the box it came in if you're not going to open it til the holidays.
I'm partially replicating and expanding on my 2015-06-24 bounty remarks here because you can't find bounty remarks anywhere once the bounty expires and I don't want my very good justification for why this change needs to be made to vanish. So:
Some anime have really long names. And most of the...
I recently asked a question on Stack Overflow which was primarily about UICollectionViewController, a frequently used class in UIKit on iOS 7.
I wanted to tag the post with the tag uicollectionviewcontroller, but could not do this because it exceeded the limit of 25 characters.
Please will you ...
I just read the chat. What's happening finally? Ignoring the tag length problem, are we getting different tags for different continuities with spammed synonyms? :o
