@Duga This got me interested in neural networks. They are pretty cool.

hey

11:13 AM
@Mast Nope, just a description:
> A playground to play around with LibGDX, and with Map Generation
@SirPython Indeed they are. Especially when you actually get started with them. I still have a long way to go to actual image recognition though :)

11:42 AM
@Duga @SimonForsberg I don't even have the slightest clue how the full string can suddenly be empty... An interesting bug to fix nevertheless

12:10 PM
@skiwi I don't have the slightest clue either. That's why I created an issue for it and dropped it until later :)
don't know if the same thing will be reproduced for others.
maybe it's just something with my machine / IntelliJ

I'll have to see how hard it is to dig into your code, maybe I can find some time before I head to uni

12:49 PM
I'm a bit more confused @Simon, any reason you are using 'GroovyCommand: ' + this.code instead of "GroovyCommand: $this.code"

> To me this looks like your configuration has a caching issue, I get the following output when running Analyze on the by default provided BF code (only a part of the output is provided here):

GroovyCommand: nextLoop
> I am not entirely sure how your `Map<BrainfuckCommand, Integer>` approach is working though...

To me it looks like no hashcode and equals methods are provided in the `BrainfuckCommand` class, which makes them unsuitable to be used as keys in a `Map`.

1:25 PM
hey everyone!

@Duga I have a Map<BrainfuckCommand, Integer>? I have no memory of that. What am I using that for?
It doesn't make them unsuitable, @skiwi. The default Object hashCode and equals will be applied.
@Duga Huh, looks like it is working for you...
@skiwi I used to try "GroovyCommand: $this.code" as well but that didn't seem to work either. I figured it was because it was a GString and not a java.lang.String

1:55 PM
Hello

hey @Phrancis!

Hey, how are you!

A bit tired but good and you ?

2:24 PM
Pretty good

@SimonForsberg But how is that one suitable?
I'm assuming that if two BrainfuckCommands as GroovyBFContext.SpecialCommand have the same String code, that then they should be equal?

2 hours later…
4:24 PM
@skiwi I'm not sure. If you use the same Groovy code at different places in the code then I think they should be considered different Groovy Special Brainfuck commands.
and I can see some future usecases where I would want that, so I don't think I should have a hashCode and equals for it.

4:54 PM
Okay... That does make sense indeed

5:49 PM
@SimonForsberg Been able to confirm yet that the bug also disappeared on your end?

6:07 PM
busy with moderator stuff and was at work before

Yeah people like to battle on meta now it looks like....

Hmm, did a bomb go off in The 2nd?
Not interestedin joining in anyways :D

@skiwi kinda... it's back to normal now...
well almost. there's a load of mods from wherever in there now

Well, it's a good thing that they feel welcome to hang around ;)

Well a quick recap : discussion about if a question is too broad, some people take the discussion personals, things goes out of hand for a while and then everyone has calm down and talks about muffins the lion king and other stuffs

@Marc-Andre lol right
Nobody here playing OGame anymore? :(

6:56 PM
@skiwi sorry @skiwi, haven't had much time for that. how is your empire doing?

Doing pretty okay ^^ haven't been crashed recently

@skiwi I started a while ago in Ganimed...

@Vogel612 Still playing actively? And on .de or .org?

s113-de.[...].com

I got bored with OGame and also busy with real-life stuffs

7:02 PM
I'm mostly just checking twice a day to start the next thing in the queue and possibly spam some defenses or ships to get rid of excess resources

That's not too active then :P

no, really not.

2 hours later…
8:42 PM
The best way to win a game like OGame is to not play. Really.

Well, it's not about winning :P For me at least

Okay, let me put it another way:
As long as you are playing a game like OGame, you are losing.
@Duga @skiwi Where do I use Map<BrainfuckCommand, Integer> ???

[Zomis/Brainduck] Zomis pushed commit 6dc62008 to develop: Include code in toString for GroovyCommand, fixes #27
> Okay, now it seems to work. No idea what caused it.

The `CommandCountAnalysis` is meant to count how many times each command is performed, totally unrelated to this issue. `BrainfuckCommand` is an interface BTW, not a class. And this `SpecialCommand` should not have hashCode and equals as two commands that have the same code should not be considered the same command for the `CommandCountAnalysis`.

Nevermind, found it.
@Duga @skiwi added this also: Using Object.hashCode and Object.equals does not make them unsuitable for use in a map. It's more when you have mutable objects, and put one into the map and retrieve another that it's unsuitable, or when you want a different equals check.

8:59 PM
@SimonForsberg Right, I'm aware of that, I was thinking initially though that you awnted to stack commands that are the same together
I didn't realize at that point that you cared about their context

@skiwi Consider the case where you do $ assert value == 100 in one place in the code. That becomes a SpecialCommand, which is a BrainfuckCommand. Now you write $ assert value == 100 at another place in the code, inside a different loop. How should CommandCountAnalysis count them?

9:29 PM
@SimonForsberg Most likely as a different command then?
