Hi. Long time listener, first time caller. enigmatic-puzzles questions are AFAICT retagged when solved, but SE sites are supposed to be for users well into the future, and future users may well want to try to solve the puzzle as originally stated, viz without the extra clue. I think they shouldn't be retagged.
(Since I'm not active in the Puzzling community and have never read its Meta (aside from a quick search to make sure this issue I'm raising isn't already there), I'm not posting this there.)
