@ScottS FYI, a question I just asked on Christianity.SE relates to (and links to) our Mark 9:29 discussion. Please feel free to edit to correct anything I’ve misrepresented or just got wrong.

^^^ Never mind about that being linked to anything here. I edited that out because it was too wordy and I’m not sure it was even relevant. (Not sure if I can un-ping you, though. Sorry.)

Anybody ( @PaulVargas) have a link I can use to copy/paste the Hebrew transliteration letters (the ones that aren’t on my keyboard)? I tried to use this tool but it only works sometimes. I have no problem doing it myself except I can’t make the stinking letters. When I copy from here they paste as something different.
It’s so easy to make my keyboard type actual Hebrew (and Greek) letters, but I can’t figure out how to make it make those. So I do things like find and copy the letters one-by-one from other BH Q&As, which is pretty pathetic.

(Incidentally, I really don’t get why academic papers/commentaries use transliteration so much. If you don’t read Hebrew at all, what do you care what it sounds like? And if you're like me and read a little bit, the transliterations lose all of the visual cues to identify things and make it much more difficult. Obviously people who read it well do fine with either, but I just don’t see the point. Unless they want to avoid RTL. Which would be understandable.)

@Susan I have a text file with some lines:
ÀàÈèÌìÒòÙùÁáÉéÍíÓóÚúÝýÂâÊêÎîÔôÛûŶŷÃãÕõÑñÄäËëÏïÖöÜüŸÿÅåÇçŐőŰű
And some other funny symbols: ☺☻▲►▼◄♪♥♦♠♣☻☼☺♫

@PaulVargas Oh, a text file. That's so sensible that it hadn't even occurred to me. Doh. Thanks.
