Thank you for the comments. It was so long ago I wrote the code that I forgot what this does Z(end,[1,end]). Can you tell me what the double arguments do? I know that the word end means the end of the array. Maybe I should put the whole thing on code review so that we can have better names for things. — Niklas in stockholm 12 secs ago

Does the code work? If so, then your question is more appropriate on codereview.stackexchange.com. If it doesn't work, please provide a good, minimal, complete code example that reliably reproduces the problem, along with a clear explanation of what the code does and how that's different from what you want it to do. — Peter Duniho 34 secs ago

A: IP Whitelist function

TimWollaIt took me a while until I understood your range notation. Consider switching to CIDR syntax. Unless there is a specific programming question, this looks like you're asking for a code review and or general programming advice with your code. If that's the case I suggest moving this to either codereview.stackexchange.com or programmers.stackexchange.com where you're more likely to illicit a relevant response .. if you are in fact having issues with your code (like a portion not working to your liking), then you might want to rethink your question to slim it to the meat of the issue. SO is OK with verbosity in a question if it's relevant. Hope that can help — txtechhelp 23 secs ago
@txtechhelp Hypothetical code is strictly off-topic at Code Review. — QPaysTaxes 8 secs ago

@CaptainObvious Do some people actually think that "golfing" code will make it run faster?

@Jamal in fact its way round , tiny recursive functions have high probabilty of lasting longer than long codes with diversified loops and conditions

I was mostly referring to "cramming" code together like that without whitespace.

just a probability

@Pimgd Obscure assembler language, as you said ;)

=/ everytime I alt-tab to this chat and then go back to my code I don't know what I was doing
assembly is weird
modern programming goes like
if x then
 do this
else
 do that
assembly is like

@200_success: What do you think of ?

I find the game pretty easy. But I own all the Zachtronics Games and I am familiar with these.

if x then skip to section b
 do that
b
 do this
it's ... inverted
but wait
you also need to put an end block
if x then skip to section b
 do that
 and skip to section c
b
 do this
c
so what used to be simple (if x then this else that) has become a double go-to mess

Because your content is still decent and you're trying to help support the site by posting answers. That's exactly what we need.

7:20 PM
@QPaysTaxes no because if conditions is false, don't jump to labels

@QPaysTaxes The jump to label1 is implicit.
As control simply flows into that block.

yeaaah
so everything is inverted

do-while-loops are easy, though.

=D
I wish comments were free but they take up space =/

I never commented once.

7:23 PM
heresy

And all my labels are at most 2 characters.

if you fuse all the zachtronics games together (including the ones that come out over the next 25 years), you'll find that players have programmed schematics for a simple turing machine to take over the galaxy

what. Like why
also how

> @QPaysTaxes I don't see that there is a question here at all. It would surely be closed if asked on Programmers in this form.
In practice, people who post random garbage like that aren't the sort of people who would read Help Center pages and ask a good question.
So I'd stay clear of even mentioning Programmers.
I've read their Help Center and I don't even fully understand what's on-topic there.
