@EnthusiasticStudent don't you want to use the \addlegendentry ? you just use it in the definition of \temp but you redefine \temp to something else before using that definition

@EnthusiasticStudent as noted in the chat above yesterday it's bound to be better to iterate over 1,2,... and divide by 100 when needed rather than iterate over .1, .2.... which is forced to introduce rounding artefacts as you can not store .1 exactly in a binary system.

@EnthusiasticStudent I've used the LaTeX3 FPU as it's expandable (and doesn't have the rounding issues of the pgf one)

@Johannes_B Well, it split on an = sign, but the second line of the url still overruns into the margin. It's a really long gibberish filled url. But I printed it and the entire url is printed. I guess the other option is to allow splitting on regular characters.

Okey, since there's no need for it being expandable, it's easy, just \def the true and false branches :)

@DavidCarlisle Yeah that seems to be the case. I originally came to this chat asking for advice about uninstalling tex from my system and reinstalling from the official website, that was a few messages ago now though :) I have installed via Ubuntu repos, which seem to be a bit behind

@EnthusiasticStudent No, not at all. :) Please don't take my words too seriously, if they somehow got misinterpreted! I just pointed out that things might not be so simple as they appear to be, and one needs to proceed with care.

@EnthusiasticStudent: so far you are doing fine. :) I just said that, for example, people might not buy the ad idea, and as a result you could get sad, or even the bloke who's doing the drawing, or other people that put their efforts into it.

An example: I once thought of starting a podcast series in the TeX.sx blog. Quickly I found out it was not something the community wanted.

@EnthusiasticStudent: out of curiosity, have you ever talked to someone at Academia.SX to hear their feelings towards a sister-site promotion? And possibly, TeX.sx in particular? They might have something to say.

It's way more common for them to have these promotions. :)
