@hichris123 Of course

@KevinBrown Yeah, if json.loads is failing, and there's data in the websocket message, then SE must be messing up the JSON.

Did the login page change? Zephyr is failing too

@Andy No, the websockets are borked.

It's not the ValueError Smokey has, but it started at the same time

> CONNECTED
SENT: 155-questions-active
... and nothing else.

sorry for super-wide Chrome devtools screenshot :P

sigh

@Andy Huh, seems this already is reported as a bug
I wonder why I'm affected now

> Also, if your IP is not stable, this can easily happen, since SE's login requires a stable IP for a small amount of time.

@hichris123 My IP hasn't changed in a long time

... well then... shrugs

... is it okay if I just kick him for now?
Will that bork it in the Tavern?

@Doorknob don't.
!!/stappit

Goodbye, cruel world

Oh right, that exists

@Andy Did you click "affects me too"? Guess that's why.
;P

3:23 AM
(Does that kill him in the Tavern too?)

@Doorknob Yeah.
I forget if it autorestarts though...

But he does useful stuff in the Tavern

Nope, it killed it completely.

@Seth I'm ashamed to admit that I searched the GitHub issue for that button just now

@Andy lol

3:24 AM
@Doorknob No. Websockets are down so it can only post stuff from the API. But it can't post anything from the API because it doesn't know what posts to get since the websockets are down.
So... it was doing nothing.

Oh, okay.

btw @Undo I killed Smokey. You're going to have to manually restart it.

OpenID doesn't like Zephyr right now. waits patiently and finds a game with explosions

Nethack has explosions! Go play Nethack.

Well, we should probably go make Smokey better right now... :P

3:29 AM
PRs, go!

@TimStone I'm noticing a certain lack of PR's... ;)

Y'all should get on that.

@TimStone I can directly commit. Therefore, not my problem. Though a certain Tim might not have commit privs, and so PR's would be suitable. ;P

That would be Tim Post, of course? :P

Naturally.
I, on the other hand, need to deploy StackFlair and fix some major outstanding SEDE items first.

3:34 AM
@Doorknob Did I say Tim? I meant Doorknob.

Ah, right. Common typo.

indeed.
Okay, there, I made a test better.

wtf? How'd Zephyr restart? THERE IS NO RESTART CODE IN YOU ZEPHYR!

It's official, your code is now sentient.

3:40 AM
I'm hoping it's less Skynet-y than most sentient computer systems end up being

Hopefully.

@hichris123 Naive Bayes.
Comments are short enough that it works fairly well.
The algorithm is basically: Toss a comment against my trained classifier. Check the probability that the returned classification is accurate. If the probability is higher than X, flag the comment.
X is set to different values for different comment types

@Undo It had your real name in it.

say @hichris123 what does the graph on github.com/Undo1 look like?
curious how it handles private repo contributions

We can't see private repo contributions

And they don't show up in the graph?
huh

user61230
Yuuup. Those'r diffurnt.

huh, didn't know GH was smart enough to do that

user61230
my guess would be that it's a PII issue?

likely

@ProgramFOX Because it's not an actual code change :P
On a related note, this is what happens when you post a Github repo on Reddit:

10:02 PM
I notice Smokey started a GH account.

I noticed you forked my ugly PHP code, @hichris123 :P

It needs some prettifying. :P

@hichris123 he did?
He didn't tell me about it :P

@Undo Scroll down all the way to the bottom of @Doorknob's screenshot.
What is parent_id in Tags, @Doorknob?

@hichris123 Tags are hierarchical

[ SmokeDetector ] Bad keyword in username: Hadoop YARN concept by Raj baba on stackoverflow.com

It's basically a big string of JOINs that's appended to the final SQL query

10:53 PM
... yeah, but why not just get the id's for the included/excluded tags, and then do WHERE Tag.Id NOT IN() or whatever?

Because posts don't have a Tags field

@Doorknob Yeah, but PageTags does.

What do you mean?
PageTags is a list of page_id->tag_id mappings.

... at this point, I don't even know. :P

Ex. if page #3 had tags #6, #9, and #15, then PageTags would have [3->6, 3->9, 3->15]

10:56 PM
That whole function is just...

yeah, the whole thing is really a big hack thrown together over summer break :D

Okay, let me try to put this into code.

11:12 PM
... okay, my way is going to be the same length in code. :(
