So I downloaded mods a few minutes ago (aka Advanced Capes, Not Enough Items, Rei's Mini Map, and Simply Sit all for 1.7.10) but all that pops up when I try to launch the game, a whole bunch coding comes up. Should I delete everything? I'd rather not, but I will if I have to.

You can ignite multiple players with a single detonator detonation but it's quite the feat

Pretty much the only system which doesn't have it is Windows, and that's not even on the file system base (NTFS is case-sensitive since ages).

Just use HFS+ on OSX and you're fine.

Windows can do it too, it even has a specific flag in the file access API - FILE_FLAG_POSIX_SEMANTICS - it's just that 99% of Windows programmers who access files are utter morons and don't know or understand what it does or how to write software which is compatible with it. This includes most of the staff at Microsoft itself.
