@geoffc fair questions but you know the answer
"not by a long shot"

2:09 PM
Yes well, I would like to get it written down for the proper answer. There are two sets of rules. One for us, one for everyone else.

2:39 PM
@geoffc I did, tho I intentionally left room for more answers. There ought to be many more details of CCDev / CCtCAP that both STS and Soyuz would fail to satisfy.

2:49 PM
Check my edit comment on the Shuttle one for a laiugh.

@geoffc hahaha good one ... you!

If we cannot have fun in parts of the system 99.99% of the users never see, what is the point! :)

I'd then simply ask a new question specifically excluding answers to your question in it :P

You go!
(Note: I will upvote your excellent answers, but not accept them, since I want something slightly different).

@geoffc yeah I know, I just wanted to open the thread ;)

Good answers. Just not the drioids I was looking for.

They're meh answers I only had about 10 minutes of time ... I'm studying this in more detail though (but will take time, loads of other choirs to do)
chores even :)))

3:28 PM
@geoffc You made sure to exclude my answers in your new question, didn't you? LOL
And I thought I could drop another one before supper. Erm ... an answer, drop an answer!!
Site is active tho which is nice to see

I thought about calling you out by name, but that was too 'localized'.
The Orion one is the interesting one. Soyuz/Shuttle, those birds have flown the coop. But Orion will demonstrate the hypocrisy clearly.

@geoffc That's why Bolden is always so eager to mention that Orion's purpose is NOT to fly to the station.
He's been asked such questions before by the CSST

@TildalWave Those birds do not fly!

@geoffc ;)

@TildalWave That is an excellent point. Ergo different rules apply. Such tripe. Be fair, be honest. Dragon is probably safe enough, once life support systems are certified to go. Having flown safely 5 times, with 2 more in 2014 demos that point clearly enough. Abort system would be nice, but shuttle never had it, so why so uptight now? Sure, nice to have, and SpaceX seems like it will be ready with it.

3:41 PM
@geoffc That they'll fly humans only on systems with LAS/LES since STS was probably already decided since the Feynman's addendum to the Rogers commission report

3:51 PM
(I mean the gore details of it that the Challenger crew activated emergency oxygen supply after the main tank explosion, stuff like that)

@TildalWave Jinx! Same basic answer, at the same time. LOX/LNG Q.

@geoffc Yeah just saw ... this happens quite frequently here considering how big of a site we are LOL
Second time today ... was commenting on some question about TLE checksum and decided to post an answer to it anyway, even tho the question isn't particularly clear. By the time I posted my answer, there were already two of them, all essentially equal. Oh well ...

10:36 PM
And if I time my being here when nobody else is ... well, then nobody posts any new questions to answer either :))
There's one question about meteorites on the Moon and if they'd be considered valuable resources and so on ... I'm not gonna touch it today, so it's all yours, but do mention water ice. Terribly important if you wanna get a decent drink up there :)
