@sravanthi I found the sample docs about application for "Universal Containers" very helpful
This was few years ago and I think they're quite tricky to find now
These are something between a walkthrough that shows the Force.com capabilities (when to add a custom field, when to modify page layout, how to create a report, when a validation rule is a good idea...) and a certification study guide
"back in my days" it used to be 1 big PDF file
then it got split into "click click click" part and the part where you really start to use Apex
This matches roughly the split between DEV 201 and DEV 501 certifications
Here's the click-click-clikc part of the guide: salesforce.com/assets/pdf/misc/… You don't have to do all of the excercises but it would give you a good idea what can be done before you have no choice but to jump into custom coding
I can't see the "DEV 501" part of it anywhere. I have something on my drive but it's quite old, talks about S-Controls... Still I think it's worth a look. Also because later on certification questions discuss the hypothetical scenarios and it goes more or less like that "Universal Containers wants to grant access to job posting records in a manner where it's not visible to some people, these people have readonly, these can modify... how would you do it" and such stuff is nicely discussed
If you want to jump past the click-click stuff straight to DEV 501 part - install this: appexchange.salesforce.com/…
I can't find it on the web so I'll share my copy. As I said - it's quite old, talks about ancient thing called S-Controls... but maybe you'll salvage something from it or will be able to search by keywords for more recent version
