Q: How the closed question 13000 is opinion based?

Battle of KarbalaThe question What could be the opinion of the Prophet(s) about Wahhabism? (+ or - ?) is closed for the claim of being opinion based. I disagree with this claim and do not understand where or what is any primarily opinion in this question?! Prophet SAWW has hadith about wahhabism. he has said ...

we have a problem
how to determine if this is plagiarism?
or not?

A: Was the Noah flood global or local?

AhmedKeep in mind that: -When the Quran says all of humanity died in the flood, that Noah was only 10 generations after Adam. So human populations have not spread out far--So yes, the rest of humanity has died. And since Allah wanted to punish those local humans (the only ones that exist) there would...

the time of the appearance of this is too close to even conclude that which one was first
given that we don't know the timezone etc
both seem to be from the same user
and this is not dated
I think I'd better take it to Islam Meta

@BleedingFingers Google-fu FTW: google.ca/…
one side effect of using the as_qdr search option is to datestamp pages.
which shows, i believe, the date that page was first cached in google. (not necessarily the publication date, but in this case the difference is wholly academic)
the datestamp on the I.SE result of the above query, for example, shows the date the question was posted (rather than when it was updated with the answer).
i find it rather unlikely that the article in question was originally published and cached three years before the last half of it was even written.

nice find didn't know about that

i just learned about it myself.
but i do love me some google-fu.

tough call. i could get behind == easily.
if could apply to explaining ahadith as well as Qur'an, however..

doesn't apply to hadith?
I'm of the idea that since it's a English site

i don't think so. pretty sure I was discussing that with @AlUmmat earlier.

7:53 PM
then words that can be described in English should be
they'd be master tags
others synonyms

8:17 PM
the problem is that a lot of translations are inaccurate.
and when you're (ostensibly) categorizing things for Islamic experts, the loss of information in a weak translation can be problematic.
2
is an example i frequently bring up. should that be synonymed to ? or ? because they're both very different things.

I think we should use original terminology, even though this is an English site, experts and students of knowledge ought to know the original terminolgy

sure, you could just say that dua is better translated as supplication. but that doesn't change the fact that in English, "prayer" can be used for both.
if there's a whole science behind hadith exegesis that has very little overlap with quranic exegesis, then slaving both to could do more harm than good.
is that likely to be a problem? i don't know; that's one of those things that requires domain expertise.

we could have quran-tafseer and hadith-tafseer
and for questions about the Qur'an itself.
and may be for hadith science in general?

we have already for the actual hadith sciences.
not sure what sort of questions would actually fit under
they could arguably be synonymed, but given that the current use of is about as indistinct as that would just make a mess of things right now.

It is generally used when one looks for an hadith regarding some issue

8:27 PM
which puts it in about the same boat as ; we need some flavour of tag.
which is arguably meta, but i think there's enough of a use case to support it; so many questions asking about such, and there's enough users who pretty much dedicate themselves to answering such.
but it feels a bit too close to things like or which have been burninated from SO for good reason.
because it's not really about anything.
can it stand alone as it's own tag?

I guess we shouldn't use any tag for questions that looks proof from hadith or Qur'an, because it is kind of obvious since this is a site about islam.
