Global temp tables seem pretty useless to me too

They only persist as long as they are accessed, so conceivably the sessions accessing them are related and you can pass data around in another way anyways

@AaronBertrand Yeah, I'd say most of the time you'd want a perm table. As stated before, the only time I did was a multi-db batch job that I need a temp reporting table (perm was to much hassle) and I had nested dynamic sql code blocks

Which is not to say there wasn't a better way to do it. :)

So basically the way it works is, it goes by 1st place votes in rounds. I think when your 1st place is eliminated your second place gets the your vote etc etc

Theres a threshold set based on total voting population

Election math is hard. It could be much simpler without all of this distribution and transferring of votes. 1st choice = 3 points, 2nd choice = 2 points, 3rd choice = 1 point. Add it up, and Bob's your uncle.

Oh and it would be cool to also have a way to vote against someone.

(That might have prevented me from getting elected.)
