@Boris_yo there's really no need to ping people in the room for every random question. Some of us aren't joining in the conversation because we're busy you know...
Meh I guess not all flags... but say i'm flagging for "just a crap question in general" like 'low quality' or 'too localised', i'll downvote too for good measure.
Background:
I recently purchased a new computer, and I'm working with an ASUS P8Z68-V Pro motherboard an an Intel i7 2600k. This question does not pertain specifically to my hardware, but I mention what I have to explain why I get the voltages/temperatures I get.

Can any of the mods please do a rep recalc on my account ? There's a rep difference of about 500 points between the rep on my current profile and the /reputation report, and I'd rather get it down now than have it climb to about 1000 points or so.
I am at over 50k AGAIN and unless someone deletes or moves something... my reputation page shows I have only lost 20... so... I am at 50k for the (I think) fourth time!!!
@Sathya I would have thought closer to unity being mainly resistive - these are all standard tungsten lamps (albeit with some inductance in the coiled filaments).
@Sathya Well, it's really a 'spare' - the server underneath the lamps is running VMware and on that server is a Ubuntu VM running the apcupsd UPS monitoring daemon and I'm testing that the USB port passed through to the VM is signalling properly.
Next step will be for apcupsd to issue a power off command via ILO (the management port on the server) so that VMWare will trigger an ACPI shutdown of all the VMs and itself.
The lamps are used in our manufacturing area as test loads - I didn't have to sit there and wire them all up - just grab the boards from 'next door'.
I reckon we should go for coloured lamps next time and get some music...snacks...
i hope you can help me out because my friends just got a Mac Book Pro recently and it stopped working after a while, this is what happened: she placed the Mac Book Pro on a cooler, after 3 days to a week, the Mac Book Pro froze and had a pop up window that told her to restart her Mac Book Pro. af...
Yesterday, Windows decided Steam needed a compatibility setting to run properly and showed me an informative dialog that left me with no choice but to acknowledge this. Steam ran fine, until it needed to be restarted for a beta update.
Steam however doesn't like compatibility settings one bit.

@SimonSheehan Apparently it is not so different to warrant a new major versions number as some previous 2.x releases. Looks like they are going for the Firefox/Chrome fashion for major version number changes for minor updates.
I don't like this trend. Like who remembers anything about Chrome v7, v8 or v9, or what changes they brought?
Who is going to remember Firefox 5 or 6 or 7 or 8?
