My slightly arthritic mother is allowing me to replace her old crappy keyboard, She types 6+ hours a day (writer). Does anyone have any favourite ergonomic keyboards?

@Malachi consider comparing your size with other sites. I just checked, UX is a bit smaller than CR (9K vs 11K) but they have 4 options; Android is in same league (18K vs 11K) but they have 5 options. Even if you can't certainly tell now what exact options you need (though I'd say you can), even if so, you better get a headroom to incorporate additional options over 3 you've got now

@jozefg I have heard really good things about the MS ergonomic ones where the middle of the rows of keys is split apart and then angled. I have generally impressed by other vendors like Logitech and Kensington. The price can vary quite widely, so I would look over the reviews on amazon or whatever your fav tech site is.

@gnat If there was ever a place for an endlessly looping audio clip of a zombie saying "Brains!" then that would be the place. I have a coworker who tries to justify things by saying "but it's a best practice!" and then can provide any additional backing as to why it may (or may not!) be a best practice.

@GlenH7 I spent almost whole last week iterating over four alternative solutions for particular feature request. All of them claimed "best practices", upon closer inspection it turned out that two of them badly suck. Guess that was primary reason why this post made me click
