Ah, here's the right room.

I'm having a lot of trouble with FlackBot...

For the last 3 days or so everything was going fine.

It would happily respond to queries in a timely manner and could stay in a room for hours.

Then about 20 minutes ago...

It was suddenly 'automatically banned' (I assume) twice.

...and after un-suspending it, it will no longer stay in a room for more than a minute or so.

After a few seconds it will just suddenly 'leave' the room.

Joining again doesn't seem to help at all.

@RebeccaChernoff It looks like that /me command simply removes "/me" and outputs the same text. Is that right?

...it also italicizes it.

@RandolfRichardson strips the /me, and wraps the rest in * so it gets italicized.

@RebeccaChernoff That's not quite the same thing. A better way would be for the background colour of the text to not be different so as to look like it's extending immediately after the right of the icon.

It was easier than the hassle that authentication would have presented.

It also allowed FlackBot to have 90% of its code written in JavaScript.

The other 10% is in C++ and is accessed using a special C++ to JS bridge.

Does the chat auto-ban users under certain circumstances?

yes, if a message is deleted as spam/offensive

Bug: (or operator failure...) I just tried to create a chat room out of Board and Card Games but somehow it ended up in StackOverflow? Can I move this room? Can you move this room? If not can it be deleted?

on the room's info page, I believe you should be able to edit the host
