@jlptn1 Yeah, I'm not terribly familiar with the process myself, but I think the idea is that the first phase is definitional. The sample questions and their votes define the proposal. Then, once the proposal is nailed down, people can commit to it and say "yeah I'd use a site which wants questions like these"

@Shazer2 Yeah, I've forgotten a lot of stuff over the years :-/ Not that I was ever great at Japanese

But it happens if you don't keep up with it, you have to use it every day

Personally I figure I'll just be learning Japanese for the rest of my life :-)

Sure. But I tend to say stuff wrong, or say the wrong things

If I start talking about a difficult subject, I always want to fall back to English.

But I do talk to people in Japanese, so hopefully I'll get better at it if I keep practicing :-)

I try to use Japanese wikipedia as much as I can instead of English wikipedia

Wikipedia is definitely a place I run into new vocab fairly often, but most of the time vocab I don't know is hyperlinked to the page about it

I bookmarked the "random page" link on jp wikipedia on my phone in case I get bored

(I had to enter it in. I don't think the mobile site has a link to it anywhere)

Well, on Japanese wikipedia, I'm much more likely to have to recurse to understand

I could read 統べる because I learned it while I was studying kanji... but I don't know if I've seen it very often

I need to keep practicing reading Japanese. I think there are still a lot of kanji that native speakers can read fine that I don't know or don't remember ^^;

I'm not as worried about writing... I like to practice writing, but it's not as important for me.

I got a brush and some ink and Japanese paper to practice calligraphy!
