A cracked bowl rings differently. Even a table tennis ball pings and pongs funnily if it's ever so slightly cracked. Is there a special idiom for when you hear how something sounds and find out it's broken? Like something rings broken.

How bizarre. It seems like I was suspended from the maid cafe for posting that deleted message here, yet I wasn't suspended from this chatroom where I posted it.
Or maybe I was and just didn't notice it.

What was it?

@user314159 I would tell you, but it stands to reason if somebody else deleted it, it must have been a moderator and thus presumptively not permitted here, so I mayn't repeat it.

I wonder how long it's going to be until Oxford adds Pikachu to the dictionary...
I mean surely enough English speakers are aware of what the word means.
And don't pretend like it's going to happen eventually. I'm sure enough English speakers know it already, and moreover, it's not as if they hadn't made more questionable additions before now.

why does Germany have so many different names, it's called Deutchland by themselves, Allemagne in France
@Tonepoet probably won't make it in dictionaries, because there are charmanders, .. . "Pokemon" yes though

@Mitch That joke always seems to me like it is talking about past, present and future lovers/partners. I don't know why, but I get that mental image. I know it is an English related joke though.
@Tonepoet Awww, that sucks. I'm sorry to hear that.
@Mitch "Home depot and Target"? These days I'm not getting half the messages here, maybe because I can't concentrate much.
@Tonepoet I don't play Pokemon so I didn't know that word. I had to search it. Although my vocabulary is pretty good.
These days I'm learning internet slangs and words, like a few days ago I picked up the word "cry bully" somewhere. It's interesting.
@caub That's a good question.

Cholera outbreak in Yemen has claimed hundreds of lives; thousands of hundreds, up to now, may have contracted the disease.
Guess why.
It's just baffling, how the bombs that go off in the West echo so much louder than those that fall on these poor Yemenis heads.

@Færd It's horrible.
That some Western countries should be assisting the evil war in Yemen.
As to "echoing", what do you mean, exactly?
