You are right, that policy doesn't refer to chat, because moderator David Z writes:

A: Should there be a special section for non-mainstream physics?

David ZNo. Part of the appeal of Stack Exchange sites is their reputation for quality. When you come to an SE site you know you're going to see (mostly) good content, for a certain definition of "good" that is fairly well associated with the mainstream of whatever the subject of the site is. And this is...

This is good to know, it means that we can openly discuss without having to fear getting suspended.

@vzn Let me join Michael Wehar by saying: "Thanks vzn for sharing links to beautiful research papers!" I wondered about 2-SAT/XOR-SAT/Horn-SAT vs 3-SAT before, but never intensely enough that I would have done a literature research. And even if I did, I wouldn't have found such a pearl.

the polymorphism idea looks deep, maybe leading to some new insights, but is not in very many textbooks.
wonder if it can be related to some other key SAT complexity aspects being analyzed more recently eg "backbone".
it also reminds me somewhat of the berman hartmanis conjecture. talking about inherent symmetries in NP complete problems.
