Q: Using odd prime powers, my heuristic tries to solve instances of Exact 3 Cover in polytime, what can be done to optimize it?

The TBy the way, a heuristic is not the same thing as a proven working algorithm that solves all input instances. It could either be experimental or be used to study intricacies in a problem. The purpose of using odd prime powers is to see if it complicates the search for a counter-example. Although, ...

Q: Basic Java Euler Solution

tijkoHaving been going over the documentation learning more of the subtleties of Java. I am now going over some basic Project-Euler solution code I wrote a little while back. Hoping I can pick up some improvements that show more idiomatic functioning of the language. Problem-4: public class Euler_4 ...

I thought putting "Hey sehe" in the title would be going too far, but thanks again for your help (and everything else you do). This answer was very helpful, but what I'm trying to build is a non-invasive fire-and-forget "make it async" wrapper function that takes a given operation and makes it awaitable without the caller needing to understand how async_initiate works or WTH a mutable lambda is. I know what I'm asking for here is free code review, but I was wondering if you could take a look and spot any obvious deficiencies in this implementation: godbolt.org/z/T1rhK79hYnickelpro 46 secs ago

Regarding your last request, about code improvements/quality, you should consider posting a dedicated question on codereview.stackexchange instead, which is more suited for that type of discussion. — julealgon 35 secs ago

There is an infinite number of valid responses to this question. It is not fit for StackOverflow. If you want code review/design help, consider codereview.stackexchange instead. — julealgon 1 min ago
@julealgon the question needs work before it's suited to Code Review. You could have pointed the asker at A guide to Code Review for Stack Overflow users, as some things are done differently over there - e.g. we need a good description of the purpose of the code to give context, and question titles should simply say what the code is for (the question is always, "How can I improve this?"). It's important that the code works correctly; include the unit tests if possible. — Toby Speight 17 secs ago

Q: A machine learning model for predicting bit strings in Java

coderoddeI have this GitHub repository (BitPredictor.java). Basically, I tried to harness a machine learning model for predicting bit strings. I have implemented it to the best of my understanding and have compared it to a very trivial ML-model, yet my demo program shows that it could have been better. No...
