Q: Code that uses reflection to validate arguments

EJoshuaSI wrote an answer to this question on the Software Engineering SE site and was hoping to get it critiqued. (I'm told that it's acceptable to do so). Essentially, this code uses reflection to check to ensure that none of the parameters of a method are null and none of the strings are empty or con...

Interesting! so all he needs to do is build 200,000,000 oil tankers the size of the Seawise Giant, and then he could depressurize 1% of the atmosphere. So essentially, no - it isn't possible without nearly infinite energy, (and practically infinite funds to build such a fleet of ships.) That is too bad, - there goes that idea :( Good answer though! — X-27 yesterday

Hmm, it is important to design before you code, but how can you design before you code if you don't know what you're designing yet?

I think you are underestimating the importance of important questions in life.
You are designing based on requirements. If you don't know the requirements, you are basically just writing code that eventually sometimes maybe does something useful... perhaps.

The things is that the (my) requirements are vague, so I don't really know what I'm doing until I figure that out

If you come up with a working solution and would like a critique/feedback you could post it over at CodeReview, or if there are some sticky points in your solution, ask here and try to be specific. If you haven't already, you may want to peruse stackoverflow.com/help/asking , specifically stackoverflow.com/help/mcve. And it helps to state your intentions - sometimes there is an altogether better way to accomplish something than what you tried. — wwii 18 secs ago
