@sachleen That is what I'm referring to.
Can you change font size in PUTTY?
1) Open Putty
2) Select Appearance from the Window node on navigation tree in the in left hand panel.
3) Click the Change button in the Font settings section
4) Select your new font and size and click OK and save the session
Yes you can, apparently.

yeah
forgot about putty
my go-to terminal is this app called termite

But for the ASCII art @sachleen, you could just append a big string.

i could
best to handle that on the computer side though

@sachleen That would get you some bonus points for geekiness ;)

We seem to be Google-able now, although we're not the top result yet

@sachleen In short yes. Plus, any major performance or usability differences that may come up.
Thats going to turn out to be pretty good for us.
This^ may be a good first step towards getting recognized by the Arduino team in the long run.

@AnindoGhosh Are you busy these days? Havent seen you around.

@AsheeshR afaict, the best way is to build a great community that becomes a reference over the intertubes
then the arduino SE will be added in the arduino wiki as an external resource naturally
the only goal that shall be driving this community is making great Q&As
:-)

@AnnonomusPerson Why exactly did you close the moderator nominations? Locking it does the same thing, and it is most definitely on-topic, so closing as off-topic doesn't really make sense.

10:37 PM
@TheGuywithTheHat The Lock options actually aren't much different from the Close options. They are basically: Content Dispute; Off-topic but historically significant; and Off-topic comments.

@PeterR.Bloomfield Yes, I agree that it should have been locked. I just see no reason it should have been closed as well.

@TheGuywithTheHat I'm not sure I understand the problem. Lock is actually stronger than Close, as it prevents all activity (including comments). By contrast, a closed question only prevents new answers. It seems like Close makes more sense in this instance.

i honestly dont see why the TP question is getting so much attention
imt not complaining that it is, but i just dont get it

@sachleen As they say, everybody poops... :)

@PeterR.Bloomfield It isn't really a problem, I was just curious. Locking and closing is redundant.
@sachleen I really don't know. When I first saw the question, I thought it would get answered and fade away into the background.

10:46 PM
yeah

@TheGuywithTheHat Oh I hadn't realised it was locked too. I thought it was only Closed. Interesting.

@Sachleen @Peter @TheGuywithTheHat I originally only closed it like some other moderators had mentioned doing. They said a "obsolete" close reason was needed and just to close it anyway. Then some people were commenting on it why I had closed it, and it was getting more attention than necessary [in the comments and in chat] so I locked it. IIRC it shouldn't go into the feeds anymore if it's locked. I never bothered to reopen it because that would be pointless.
I know it's redundant to do both, but I did the "less obstructive" method first, and that didn't really work, so I applied the "stronger method" but never bothered to remove the first method.

@AnnonomusPerson Okay, thanks for the explanation!

@TheGuywithTheHat No problem. It's just people were telling me at first to just mark it completed, then to close, and then to lock... it's a problem with the system that will only appear once or twice ever on the site.
