The idea in the first question is reasonable. I remember seeing it before. Probably in ZRTP. Key continuity is a related concept.

@CodesInChaos the behavior of the user is strange. (at least it was) To me at least. And he was kinda spamming the poor fgrieu. I wanted to ensure that everything is OK, but I'm kinda lacking experience in that department.
