@e-sushi I'm not sure how this compares to reduced round attacks that have come out on other hash functions, block ciphers, etc. That is 5-6 rounds out of 24, so don't expect a real attack on Keccak any time soon.

@mikeazo I should’ve provided some context… my bad. All I wanted to drop is that I noticed more and more people are slowly hopping on the Keccak train lately and it seems as if interest is slowly shifting away from the “novelty” part of things (finally)… I wasn't indicating anything bad has been found of anything. If that would have been the case, I’m pretty sure I would have posted a question at our main site instead of dropping a boring comment in the chat. ;)
