modes is now used in one question to mean the different variants of AES. I think mode is the wrong term here - a mode would normally mean a mode of operation of a block cipher (to create a stream cipher).

While there's no hard-and-fast rule across the SE network, there's an overall trend towards tags using the plural version.
Consequently, I've made password a synonym of passwords (after merging them).
If there's any other tags that need tweaks, I'm happy to help.
The differential tag is used on one post to mean differential cryptanalysis. I tried to change this to differential-cryptanalysis, but this is too long (25 characters seems to be the length limit for tag names). What to do here?
The literature was created by myself, for the (later closed) question requesting literature recommendations. The same question also has the classroom tag.
Our very first question was Crypto Class in College but looking to take it to the next level, asking about book recommendations.
