@IamwhoIsayIam I know you made many examples here with a minimum of keystrokes :-) on the gallery site it would be important in addition to be understandable, that's why it's great that you plan to add comments

Comments in the code are nice, but also very nice: a short introduction text, about the goal and how it's done, before the actual code. When you download a .tex file, you can see the (hidden) markup with description in a comment environment, also on TeXample.net

If you like, you can send me a first bunch of examples earlier, so I can implement and tell you if some change would improve the handling

I compile with XeLaTeX and use ghostscript to produce PNG gallery images and thumbnails / icons for the gallery list and Python to produce the Database entries from the source code and tags therein
