I'm slammed on deliverables this week so I'm not sure how much I'd be able to participate but as an idea for good questions: Take a look atStack Overflow questions, and re-ask in a way that makes for a more useful, general purpose question.
i.e., like this one

Q: USPS rates not showing on front end of magento 1.4.2

Alena Richards KieferI have a Magento 1.4.2 instillation that was working fine 4/11. Sometime in the last year. I suspect last January 1/12 when the rates changed, I lost my International USPS shipping rates. We do not have a lot of international orders and did not realize this was not working until 9/11 and have not...

Re-asking that as "How can I troubleshoot shipping rates not showing up on the Magento Checkout and Cart pages"

@AlanStorm Is it possible to repost questions in general?

Do you think, that we can ask this question again "How do you give estimates for Magento upgrade?": stackoverflow.com/questions/12736211/…

@ceckoslab hahaha that was the very first meta question I asked!!

What's it take to get a beta invite?

@sparcksoft lol! Thanks! :D

oop, nevermind, I just had to check my personal email ;)

Guys, round of applause for @benmarks
@ceckoslab haha, that was a great question :)

/me claps, wondering if SE chat supports /actions
sigh

@kojiro haha, well at least it supports animated gifs pretty well :)

@sparcksoft That it does! I, however, support them somewhat less. ;)

congrats dudes for this achievement :) let's hope that n00bs will find the right board to post their questions

We will keep posting comments redirecting them in SO.

I would repost question directly — try to improve their quality in a way that'll get better answers. The StackExchange folks will be looking at the site and if there's too many low quality questions it won't get into public beta and/or public sitehood.

@AlanStorm are you saying if we see a good candidate on SO during the priv beta we should repost the question ourselves? Too bad there's not a good way to transfer the reputation after the site goes public. :(

According to Mark Gravell's comment on this link, anyone with 3k+ reputation can flag a question to have it moved to another SE site. I'm sure there are a few folks at that threshold? meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/2683/…

@kojiro You should actually look forward to a points reset! Now maybe someone can beat out Alan for most points? ;)

@AaronPollock sure, but you can't have it flagged to be moved to just any site. meta.so, superuser.com, tex.se, dba.se, and sharepoint.se showed up when I nearly flagged a random question to find out. :)
…OTOH if sharepoint showed up we can maybe get Magento in there.
@ZacharySchuessler I'd encourage anyone to try to beat out Alan for most points. It wouldn't hurt to write a book or two about Magento, too. ;)

@Zachary Lol, you are right :)

@beeplogic what are you doing on my Reddit homepage? ha. what's working at Submodal like?
