I feel like this is not the only option to take. The new lead dev is newer than the other developers. They could arrange a conversation with their boss and the lead dev and have both tell their story, seems to me like a better deal than to instantly quit.

Complaining =/= having a good conversation with everyone present

a lot of the posts on workplace explain how you should not complain but state the facts

and as you explain why certain problems exist, propose solutions

Stating facts does not always help though. And i have seen first hand how that can actually escalate the situation in a negative way.

having so many problems with firefox

about half the time it won't start up

the only solution i know is to log off and log back on, then the problem might go away

it seems opening in safe mode will always work, unless after i first opened it normally and it didn't show up

i use a standard user account, not the default admin one, and this is known to cause problems to some programs, but most will just fail during installation
