I watched the first part of the first episode of that anime and was so lost halfway through with who was who and what that I just gave up right there. It looked like the anime ended at the end of that first part anyway, felt like a very condensed anime movie of sorts. Is it worth to continue watching?

It's actually a special, where the characters in season 1 and 2 meet each other

I sort of thought that was the case, which was also part of why I dropped it, I didn't want to have to watch them all xD

Same for the 2nd season (though there are a number of references to the first season)

I didn't watch the first one, but the second season is still enjoyable
