I got Pokemans Omega Ruby and started the game in Japanese~ Thought it'd be an interesting 'challenge' and just fun to try out :P

So far I've had to look up quite a few things, but I also noticed I understood some of it. Also, it's nice that everything is written in hiragana/katakana, which means I have a chance of reading it and thus understanding it xD

I don't know what you're looking for in gits

they are all different

the original movie is pretty good

but they have the same characters which means you will miss quite a bit without watching everything

I would not recommend skipping anything if you're going for the plot

manga doesnt have much improvement in visual term, I read manga for story, and watched anime for animation+story, most of the time

it's your choice, but I would not advise to skip any main movies or series of gits

look at literally any 9gag image and you're at an increased risk of eye cancer. The images are always disasterously downscaled and have annoying watermarks added in important places. At least sites like imgur keep their compression subtle until you start looking at the pixel level.

I wish someone would write a browser extension that would identify 9gag-watermarked images and block them even if they were reuploaded elsewhere. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like anyone has done so yet.

@ToshinouKyouko make sure to try hiyashi ame (a cold ginger drink) and amao strawberries (ppl sya it's the best brand for strawberries in jp) when you're there. the dotonbori district near namba station, has some good eateries. also the kitashinchi district is about a ten minute walk south of osaka station that's worth checking out if you don't want to wander far
