@ton.yeung Word on the street is DDoS. TT is still up and has working magnet links, but nyaa and all the things associated to it (HS, underwater, etc) are down and it's not clear when they'll be back up.

@nhahtdh Possible, but the couple of fansubbers I know said as far as they know it's just a (relatively prolonged) DDoS. Not likely they'd have any particular insider info, but if it is a takedown that isn't something fansubbers in general were aware of as of 4 hours ago. If it is a DDoS I find it a bit hard to believe they'd be related.
Anyway, if you needed a good reason to get off MAL, you probably weren't looking very hard at all, but this is certainly one. Either they found some admin password, or they found some backdoor. Either way, I wouldn't trust their security at all.
Looks like the MAL thing is way bigger than I thought. Currently 140 pages of results if you search for "SSJMaster". Most of them have had their titles edited to "SSJMaster vs. Xinil - A story of Epic Battles! Season 2". Example: myanimelist.net/anime/4192/…Screencap. I'm lead to believe that the 4 pages of ones above are just the ones that someone bothered to fix.
