In Episode 8 of Series I of the Yuru Yuri anime, Kyouko and Yui go the library and see Chizuru Ikeda, Chitose's twin, reading alone. Mistaking her for Chitose, Kyouko starts trying to get her attention, and gets more and more persistent as she's ignored. After finding out that Chizuru is Chitose'...
I'm having random issues, like "Connection was reset" and "Timeouts" when trying to access the different pages of SE and when posting in chat. It's difficult to nail the exact problem because it works fine until it doesn't and then starts working fine again.
I've noticed that as a general sympto...
@JonEricson DVs feel like a punishment - the day SO/SE cares more about the individual feelings of people who post bad content than about content quality is the day I will stop participating on this site for good. Where exactly in the SO mission statement does it say that we want to build a high-quality repository of answers to question about programming, but without ever hurting the feelings of people who cannot contribute to this goal? Caring about individual feelings is counterproductive to the SO goal, as should be evident by the last few hundred discussions about content quality. — l4mpi21 hours ago
@Eric Like, how did we mind control that user. The only way I know how to make it post what we want is via feeds, which I don't see any attributed to user -2.
It seems to me that in a lot of anime (Naruto, Dragon Ball, Gurren Lagann, and Digimon are three that come to mind), characters or creatures who perform an attack tend to shout its name, almost as if necessary to perform such an attack. This seems very counterintuitive—telling your opponent that ...
showing users they can abuse it and potentially crash their system or partially, means they will most likely just remove it as it was not intend for public use in first place
@Eric I didn't realize that "translate" was an official feature. I thought it was something we hacked together using some combination of feeds and chat scrapers.
Seems weird and potentially abusive for one bot to be able to trigger an action from another bot unless there's a good reason for it. And I don't know what that reason would be for a feed bot, which is supposed to mostly post oneboxed stuff anyway.
In the past though he's just deleted or unoneboxed images that he thought were questionable, which is fine I guess.
@ShinobuOshino At some point we decided that this user's avatar was fine, but that anything much worse than that wouldn't be. So I think I'm still in the clear.
About 10 or more years ago I had a VHS videotape cassette with an anime movie or an ova recorded on it, I don't really remember much, but I remember that I watched it once or twice and liked it a lot. I remember a beautiful girl in it, a scene where the girl changed her clothes to swimming clothe...
In AoT, how was it that humans learnt the titans weak spot? How was it that they learnt how to kill titans?
Was it through experiments with live captured titans?
The only example I could think off where humans actually successful captured live titans and managed to get them within the walls w...
I can't believe I missed this three times. I went to skip back to the beginning of AoT Episode 1 and that was when I noticed these scenes that occurred at the beginning of the episode where Eren is having some type of day dream or well nightmare before waking suddenly with Mikasa leaning over him...
Proposed Q&A site for this will be a place where application and solution architects can raise questions specifically for architectures. Architects need support in achieving some non-functional requirements and that causes changes in the architectures.

Let's say John Zeürtö writes: Bob Schnittlauchkäsebrot dies 23 AFTER he willingly forfeits ownership of the death note. Would Bob live until he gives up the ownership of the death note, or will he get killed in 23 days?
When does a production company exactly decide to turn a manga into an anime?
I mean some animes start airing while their manga is still being released and sometimes the amount of material only suffices for a 12-13 episode season only.
Others wait and get adapted to make a 26-52 episode season ...
A lot of posts have been made about how to deal with illegal material, but what about legal material?
The question about the person asking for Spanish subbed Dragonball Z episodes, made me wonder what kind of answers would be appropriate if such question would be allowed here.
What sites would ...
I am trying to recall a show from my childhood.
I've watched it sometime before 2000/2001, but it could have been from many years before that.
I really don't remember the story, but
it was about a school girl (which anime isn't ;) )
she traveled to some kind of fantasy world (don't remember...
After having watched Shinsekai Yori, something is still bugging me.
From what I understood, the council received Maria and Mamoru's bones from Squealer/Yakomaru after they had gone alone in the wilds, behind the Holy Barrier.
To me, that would mean that the bones were received only a short time ...
I noticed that the template for replying to id-requests has become something like

Coincidently I came across some old one-liner answers from 2013. There will probably be more of those around.

Other day I was talking to some friends about anime that we used to watch in our childhood and we remembered an amine that passed in TV about 10-13 years ago, but we couldn't remember its name.
That's all we could remember:
The protagonist was a kid that lived in Stone age, he had black hair a...
I'm looking for the name of a really old anime. I can only remember bits and pieces of it. I remember it involves a red and blue crystal ball, both that can turn into a sword. I remember a scene where this boy that can change into a dragon was probably guarding the crystal balls but loses one ...
I'm looking for a short anime (don't remember if it was a single or a few series).
It was about an American student, obsessed with martial arts, who gets an invitation from his Japanese friend, to visit her family in Japan. He got a sword from her (I think it was symbol of marriage or something ...
Well for example when you post a PHP question, half the people that read it don't bother to look at the questions, instead just look for "sql injection, i'm calling this guy a moron".
I've definitely noticed people on the internet talking about watching (presumably) the whole thing, but no idea where they might have gotten it.
Since I'm just going to wait for Daisuki to release it (since I think they're doing so today anyway, and since I generally try to use legal means of streaming if I can and it's not a huge burden on me to do so).
It's really silly how Crunchyroll still tells me that they're releasing it "later this week" whereas on the Daisuki website they have exact times and all for when they're beginning to stream it.
