with regard to robotic copters, does anyone know if anyone has worked out the theory behind weight to lift ratios, i.e. whether -- given battery power to weight ratios of today -- adding another rotor for lift is more efficient even though it costs more energy to operate?

Also, theory with regards to what propeller types are most efficient (long vs short, high angle of attack and slow vs low angle of attack and fast, etc)
