Find My Past has released several new collections of Electoral Registers. These list registered voters, often with the criteria for their eligibility. blog.findmypast.com/fridays
Note "occupation" in many areas means the person was a resident -- they "occupied" a dwelling -- it does not refer to "occupation" as in a job.
I have already found one entry which lists a person residing in one district but being a property owner in another -- neatly filling in the gap between census records which show him residing in the old town and the new.
Find My Past has also added collections of baptism, marriage, and burial records from the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society.

Yesterday on FindMyPast I found an 1863 Electoral Register record for my 2nd great grandfather William Henry Rouse in the Parish of St Mary, Truro, Cornwall that shows that he had a house in Pydar Street. The location was what I expected but is the first indication I have that he was a house owner. As you say - it filled in another gap :-)
