something like if ( post_type_can( 'delete_post', $post->post_type ) && current_user_can( 'delete_post', $post->ID ) ) {

@MichaelEcklund You can probably make that function, get_post_type_capabilities() exists. Maybe submit a ticket to trac.

I already made the function lol

and I actually tried to use that function within my function. I got PHP errors.

So instead, I just get_post_type_object( $post_type );

and I check $post_type_object->cap

I was just shocked that there's no function like that already.
