the hook plugins_loaded should run on every page load, right?
I would assume the same thing for muplugins_loaded but I can't seem to even print to error_log() in either hook...

@Rarst is there a quick simple way of telling with PHPCompat where I need to look for stuff that's pre-7.0 that needs changing? I ran it on my wp-content folder and I'm told I need 5.6/5.5 maximum, but there's so much information it's hard to tell what's bringing the max version down to the 5.x version of PHP
and I don't fancy updating to PHP 7 and having downtime for a short period while I track them down

@TomJNowell ugh, there was something something, but I hadn't worked with it in a couple major versions... no idea on current right now

@TomJNowell that's why we have vagrant

meh I was hoping for something a bit quicker than pulling my entire site down locally

@TomJNowell try just PHP lint with earlier version?

Can I not just error_log() from those hooks cause they're too early? That seems silly though...

I pulled my wp-content down locally and did the php recursive lint, so many constructor notices in major plugins =/

anyone have any ideas why custom /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname% and any other variables wouldn't be working in the custom permalink under settings > permalinks
rewrite mod is on but neither work in both local and staging environments :/
I'm using roots.io bedrock/sage if that helps, I've commented out any permalink rewriting code that I might be using. I just want to append the %post_id% to a url but nothing is output unless I manually do the str_replace myself.
if i replace those variables with something like /stuff/ that works fine, just odd that these variables aren't working
