New profile pages have been launched on most Stack Exchange sites. These feature separate "Profile" and "Activity" sub-pages.   See, also, the blog entry: Two new user pages. One new stat. This one’s big..

whats your guys suggestion for making a post type archive description user editable
i seem to recall a core bug for this
and i've built a simple customizer control for this before, without wysiwyg though. wondering if something well cooked is already out there

If I really need a custom archive I usually disable the default archive and make it a page template instead...
...so I'm using a page with custom fields instead
Not sure if this will work for you, too ;)

I've just added an additional page under the CPT menu item which has a simple field that stores it as an option.

morning!
I was curious if anyone knew of any research on IF wp can be coded to allow a download of the post into a template?

What do you mean by that? Download the template file? Download the page? Don't get it.

2:59 PM
sorry. I meant the content for the page. I want to create a page that has a few buttons that will allow you to download the code from the page

3:09 PM
If you've already searched for that and haven't found an answer I think it would be a valid question on the main site. Please be clear when creating the question as I'm still not sure if you want the PHP source of the template file, the pure content as e.g. text or the generated page as HTML.

Im looking for a way to for the file to download the HTML
reason why I was asking is because I havent found it nor am I an expert in the WP terminology yet so I was curious if it may have been asked before actually making the question

So something like "File>Save Page" in your browser? (Not sure it is called that, not on an english system here)

@Darth_Vader Register an endpoint, create the HTML there, and force a download.

3:27 PM
asked on WP with an example of what I am trying to do

Yeah...it was a week of updates....

If you always sanitize anything that comes from untrusted source your code is pretty safe..

Well if you use any plugins this isn't really in your area of influence most of the time.
