I can't understand why the remove_action( 'wp_head', 'adjacent_posts_rel_link_wp_head', 10, 0); line is for?
We din't add an action, why are we removing this one?

it's added by core?

@Rarst I'm afraid, can't get you.
But in the actual post in WP Beginner I got a comment here: //To keep the count accurate, lets get rid of prefetching

this seems like one of actions that WP core adds, too lazy to look up right now. search for it?

okay. got you.

Can anyone verify if this article is accurate with WordPress as it is now at 4.0? So really, don’t use just /%postname%/ as your permalink structure.

it says it isn't right on top

oh
derp
haha
wow, okay thanks.
I have one more fairly simple question, which I can ask on the main site if desired. Is there a function to retrieve the site's URL including the front base?

unsure

I set my permalink structure to /blog/%postname%/ and site_url(); just outputs domain.com and not domain.com/blog/

because that's stored together in rewrite, it's not separated out or appended to site url

3:25 PM
I was thinking about getting the option permalink_structure and parsing it myself. Then just appending it to the site_url();
Is there an easier way?
I wrote a question on the main site just in case someone knows of an easier way. For now, that's what I'll be doing though.

@WPESupport You should be ashamed, really. How much do you have to hate WordPress to disable a core feature that could save resources?
oh, they are such an easy troll target

Getting the Site URL Including the Front Base Bing. Bang. Boom. Done. At least people got some reputation out of it.

Q: SE network ads still use the old site name

Care BearAfter Site Name: The Final Chapter it would appear that that name "WordPress Answers" is dead, but it survives in the cross-site promotion ads that SE shows in the sidebar. I saw this one just now, on Mathematics.

spam!

@toscho oh wow. did anyone say "money grabbing ho's" yet?
so who is the better choice as a wp hosting provider?
it'd be nice to have that one click staging site copy setup
@Rarst is promoting the hell out of siteground

namely? :) they literally feed me

disabling multisite that way is a general managed wp thing
as it greatly increases the scope of support issues and requests

8:39 PM
there are also few ways to restrict cheaper plans other than "less sites" without making them complete crap and multisite is essentially unlimited sites in WP context

9:05 PM
@TomJNowell About your comment on the book on GitHub. Have you seen eric andrew lewis documentation project on JavaScript and WP? Somehow I can't find a license. Maybe someone should open an issue on that question. /Cc @Rarst

I didn't say I agreed with it
@kaiser hmmm
what he said on skype

hadn't thought you did, just discussing
