Even I had a not that bad idea for him. Make a webapp where you use facial recognition and the possibility to add a photo. So girls could use a photo where they look perfect. Then take a snap shot right before a date and get a %-value comparisson to the original photo.
searched up a test case for the browser api to access the mobile device camera. worked. had to restart five times to get damn webdamn stop recording me.

I am trying to set permalink structure on theme activation. The following function included in function.php of theme.

@hariprasad I'm assuming you've got pretty permalinks in settings? What happens when you go there and click 'update'? Checked file permissions? Not done much theme dev but I can't see anything wrong with the code you've shown....
@kaiser yeah viewing it in phpMyAdmin, like inspecting the post table to see what content is there... nope no SQL files or anything.. not even sure where the heck they could even be coming from
There is stuff like the heartbeat API running constantly. Or auto save stuff. That saves a post, moves the original to post_type revision and adds a new one. Of course that one got a new (incremented) post ID.

@kaiser this only relates to nav_menu_items and these items are created programatically by the developer... but still not even sure how the heck phpMyAdmin could interact with that
re-tested phpMyAdmin in Firefox and now working normally
some other tab must have been interfering... that is the most bizarre thing I have seen, not to mention completely ruining my post id association across post and postmeta table.

what was even more confusing... was until I closed those tabs in FireFox, checking the database in Chrome still incremented the IDs... like its cross browser.
@MayeenulIslam I have to agree with @s1lv3r - some are no core files. Verify that with a function hooked to plugins_loaded. In there var_dumpy( array_keys( $GLOBALS['wp_scripts']->registered ) ); at priority 0.

And if jQuery - not defined is shown as error, then probably some dependency wasn't added correctly, so the loading order got wrong.

I'm afraid, one of my developer activated some of the plugins in the mean time. Now I went to the position I mentioned. Now it's showing: load-scrips.php once is showing: Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected Token ILLEGAL. And again the same page is showing Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected Token var
that means the problem is showing only inside the load-scripts.php
@hariprasad Fraid not. I'd just go through the motions of making sure your hook is fired, and finding exactly where it deviates from what you expect. wp_die() is your friend :).
@hariprasad Disable all plug-ins as well. You should be registering rewrite options on init and flushing on activation. If any other plug-in flushes after you, the option may be lost. Best bet is to actually update the user option, and not touch the rewrite global.
I know. IIRC that's what he's already doing. Still not convinced that the rewrite stuff should be modified in a theme. When you switch it, all your page rank goes _\ | BOOOOM! | /_

@kaiser But even then, it should work at least. Odd that .htaccess is created.
@hariprasad So when turn of permalinks. Activate the theme, and go to settings > permalink, has it reflected the change in structure option (even if it still doesn't work)?
Nothing is fine if you do rewrites from within a theme. Move it to a plugin: That will give you the tools, long term maintainability and you can use it with whatever theme you want. Bonus: You can test it with a default setup, so it will likely be much more reliable.

@kaiser : mine wasn't an issue of 404 at all. all plugin disabled, default plugin activated, debug is enabled, but not showing anything on the upper side
