I think you can't bounty it until a few days have passed

correct, it has to be at least two days after the question was asked

Q: How does the bounty system work?

A. Rex What is a bounty? What is the "Featured" tab on the homepage? How can I search for questions that have a bounty attached? How do I start a bounty? When can I start a bounty? How long is the bounty period? How do I award a bounty? Can I award a bounty to my own answer? Can I award a bounty to an ...

bounties are set on questions (to encourage people to answer), then awarded to answers

@GayotFow What is this about? I am getting a bit tired of your constant scheming. Why can't you do like everybody else? The way this works is really simple: Post an answer if you know the answer to a question, edit your answers as new information become available or comments point out potential improvements.
No need to turn answers into discussion threads, no need to coordinate in chat to decide who answers what, etc.

@Relaxed well the idea is to close 90% of the current [uk]+[visa-refusal] questions
and 90% of all future ones
which is quite a big operation

@Relaxed Courtesy was the driving factor in naming you and soliciting your input. We have your input now and of course remain grateful for it. Many thanks. We'll take it from here.

For that, a meta question would be the right approach. We actually had many of those and no consensus for ever broader canonical questions. So I think you should not do it.

Q: How many tag edits should we allow per day?

ValorumBackground. Over the past few days a user has been mass-editing this tag (nolan-batman-trilogy) onto the Nolan trilogy films. 33+ edits have been made in the past 48 hours with no sign of abating. Thus far the volume of changes made has provoked at least two users (that I've seen) into refusing ...

We are not alone.

"Pnuts" has been out of action for 6 days straight. I hope everyone will send a prayer his way!

@GayotFow can we ping @pnuts? I'm a bit lonely without him.

8:18 PM
@Dorothy you can ping up to something like 5 or 7 days after his last appearance here.
@JonathanReez I think the working number is very high, 90% is optimistic, but it's the gist of what we're aiming at

@pnuts Is everything OK?

10:44 PM
@GayotFow what was the name of the tag we've used for visa application requirements?
You've added it a few times but I can't find it now
tag for the documents you need for visa application
ah, found it

11:46 PM
@JonathanReez It's a shite tag.
I would avoid it
we have 'provenance of funds' and then 'proof-provenance of funds'
