@Dorothy not that I"m not believing you, but the linked user has nothing showing on his activity as far as mod tools go. How did you establish it was that user doing it? Just because he was suspended on another site?
I'm keen to investigate, but I'm not seeing much to go on at present

@MarkMayo it was @GayotFow who sussed it out. On Wednesday, I got a message that points had been restored b/c of irregular voting pattern. Using my profile to see my answers, five had been downvoted, one after the other. I asked @GayotFow to explain. Then we figured my activity, that I had rejected his edit of a question. We saw the same sequence yesterday, after Tor-Einar Jarnbjo had commented to Sagar_V that his answer was wrong. Sagar deleted his own answer and downvoted Tor's correct one.
I then found that Sagar_V has been suspended for irregular voting patterns. I looked at his voting, and he had done the same there. He disagrees, or doesn't like the feedback, the hits back. I've simply been avoiding him, not touching anything he has, whether answer, comment, or question.
@MarkMayo it's no biggie; you know we get newbies who loose cannon; it's just annoying, particularly when they're providing 'answers' that are weak, poorly researched, wrong. Today, he created an answer with a link to malware; @GayotFow caught it, told him, and asked why he didn't use the cannonical.
@M
@MarkMayo are you able to see who downvoted my four answers that got restored? I can point to which ones, if you need to.

@Dorothy Seems to "downvotes" are due to invalidated votes from an unrelated user. No evidence of concerted downvoting as far as I can see on mod tools. Let's not start witchhunts here. :)

@MarkMayo bounties of 300 ?
Mr Moneybags.
:)

@AnkurBanerjee Not doing that... not my style

@Dorothy it's still circumspect :/ I agree it's probably true but as @AnkurBanerjee suggests, our mod tools show voting patterns (they don't show all votes, unfortunately) and nothing is showing up :(

@MarkMayo not to worry; odd little things happen, as you know. It was the first time this had happened to me, and I was asking what it meant. We'll all let it go and keep doing what we do.

Yes, it felt jarring the first time it happened for me too. :) Happens randomly every now and then when accounts (often suspended users or spammers) get taken down.
Among other scenarios when votes get readjusted

Ooh, I hate that one. "User has been removed - say goodbye to 2,000 rep".

mods, travel.stackexchange.com/questions/89595/… there was a user here when the question was asked and that wasn't long ago
what happened?

@GayotFow No no. Looking for something answerable. :)
So ... many ... mods ...
@MarkMayo Re that recline question, i recently found a database showing the leg room each airline gives. Not sure I can use it to get that juicy bounty though.

Q: Making traveling to US to attend conferences more efficient with ESTA / ETA

user58464I have a work contract with a US company and, for that reason, I can't stay in the US for more than couple of days since I need to work. Working while in the country would violate my visa and Federal law under which the company employs me. I would risk being banned from entering the country which...

Q: New hotels booking aggregator

SamanthaI like to travel alone so much. So I browse the internet from time to time to be informed with the new travel services such as hotels, flights, car rental etc. Usually I book hotels on booking.com or Expedia. But I found the new aggregator for booking hotels in the USA the other day - https://ww...

But some say I'm a suspicious fellow. What do you think?

@JoErNanO the contact link in the linked site goes nowhere, the site is behind whoisguard and both the Terms and the Privacy Policy doesn't have a company only a gmail address and even that only in an image I guess to avoid being indexed by Google. The domain is under whoisguard. Crystal clear scam site.

@chx cool socket adapter
btw thanks for recommending the Bagel a few months ago - excellent device!
aby other cool gadgets that you recommend?

9:08 PM
@Dorothy @chx Deleted. I'm contemplating destroying the user.
@chx I don't think whoisguard is an indicator of a scammy site. I think most of my domains are under whoisguard.
Or some similar whois hiding thingymajig.

@JoErNanO if more than 2 posts are pure spam, burn them with fire

heh, I hit 20k rep, then my answer was migrated to expats and I fell below 20k

@JoErNanO you are not a travel agency
@JoErNanO whoisguard is acceptable for individuals but when you begin to sell travel porducts you need to provide a physical point of contact so that grievances can be mailed there and at that point just put that into whois
@JoErNanO my primary indicator of scamminess is not whoisguard alone but the fact there's no company and nowhere to turn should the site be pulled
@JoErNanO you do not even know which country they are in!
