It's interesting how many closeable questions have been hiding amongst the hundreds of unanswered questions

good reason to clean them up every so often

we've made it to the Top 20!

something I've noticed checking this every day is that the top few for most answered % is almost always French/Russian/Spanish/German language. Wonder if that's symptomatic of language sites, or if they feel they should compete with one another :)

I think it's just easier to answer language questions as they don't require "off-site" experience/information

I can't imagine an English-language website that would require a trip to a remote island in order to have the experience to answer :)

Many questions on the French language site at least are quite easy, something a native speaker knows intuitively, even without being especially competent or knowledgeable about linguistics

So not only is the answer rate very high but most get answered in a couple of hours

did anyone email the Kurdistan embassy yet by chance? I'd like to send them an email to try and get rid of Kurdistan questions from our unanswered queue

though not sure how well do consular services work for a non-recognized territory...

I asume that there are much more important problems for Kurdistan now
