You all did a lot of photos when the challence was going on, almost non since. And with the bounties something like that happens, you all had several going during the challence and almost non since.

I think it would be a good thing to have a longer term effect. People keeping posting photos with their answers, maybe by having a once a week/year long challence or something like that, growing into a habit

Maybe a 'one photo per week challence' and a 'one bounty per week' challence, allowing to skip one week (if needed) for holidays/work expected to run for months rather than days.

The whole of the 'have to check in every day' makes it hard for me, and likely others, to join in, while the effects on the site seem to be short lived so far. With a photo per week (at least) for months there might be lasting improvements.

Makes sense. Thing is we have to find a compromise between too demanding and too sparse.

Asking for one answer/photo/bounty per day is maybe too much. One per week might be too little and cause people to forget.

Q: Boarding denied despite transit visa not required

I had a horrible experience at Istanbul airport. I had two separate tickets on two different airlines. First ticket Mumbai to Amsterdam via Istanbul on Turkish airlines. Now it is basically one answer/bounty and so on per two days (as a 'day' is 48 hours) so one per week is not that much less. But I am happy with two per whatever time, as long as people can spread their two whatever way they want.

No, not really, it is just that some of us are not online every day, all day. I had trouble getting the 30 days thingy, while others have not been away every since signing on. Once a week is more feasable for everybody.

especially given that a "day" is defined as midnight->midnight GMT

But if you do allow 'one skip' option in a competition, many more people might be able to join, whehter it is a daily, every second day or once a week one.

haha.. i've actually been online 20 days consecutive which is funny because i've been on the road for the past 3 weeks, but not surprising because i've been on the road in timezones that were GMT/GMT+1 and GMT+2

I usually am online only for a short time once a week, if I am online at all, and when traveling I might not be online for a few days or even weeks.

In many card games (and sometimes on TV shows) you can use a joker if you do not have a right card/answer. We might do something like that in the challences.

In an ideal situation people would come to tse because they enjoy it and not because they are forced to by the competitions. IMHO that should be our ultimate objective.

Less strict competition adherence rules might so the trick.

With the rules as they are till now I hessitate to join a challence, as I can not spend a few hours each day, certainly not those days my boss and my friend want to see me.
