12:55 AM
this Toronto is unexpected work trip.. not prepared for it.. so any suggestions on what to see there? no time to research... any tips guys?

1 hour later…
2:15 AM
@RoflcoptrException nice (y)

4 hours later…
6:00 AM
@MarkMayo thanks for the edit, I read it quickly and did not pay attention and I mixed up airports :)

1 hour later…
7:19 AM
@MeNoTalk @pnuts I think we were all confused by that one. Even after his clarification I still am!

1 hour later…
8:24 AM
@MeNoTalk While it's true that I normally don't lock the door, the last murder was unfortunately a couple of months ago.

8:43 AM
And there was also one in 2000 and I think in 2007

2 hours later…
10:35 AM
BOOJA

11:04 AM
@hippietrail are you already traveling or still working?

11:23 AM
@MeNoTalk If you are staying in downtown, you certainly do not need a car
I spend there one day, and went to the CN tower of course
I also visited the hockey half of fame, but you need to be at least a bit into sports to appreciate the hockey hall of fame
I think bike rental of the city bikes was not really expensive there, so you might rent want and just cycle around a bit
I would have done that if I head more time
and if you have a full day, go to the niagara falls

11:36 AM
CN Tower was great. I love towers anywhere, but it was much better than I expected
For now, I have an episode of Arrow to watch :) Thanks all!

I was unlucky that it was a bit clouded that day
couldn't even see the ground at first
no queues
after that, the view improved a lot, so well spend dollars :)

11:49 AM
@RoflcoptrException: in about 3.5 weeks

12:26 PM
and what are your plans @hippietrail

12:48 PM
@MarkMayo Didn't took me too long, but you started earlier ;)

:D

image search in google is really powerful

I tried the image search and it just showed me pics of chernobyl
(when I uploaded that photo)

add ten commendments to the search term ;)

so then I just searched 'tablet largest ten commandments' thinking it must be pretty big
huh, feeling like an idiot. Never even considered adding words to the image-file search

1:02 PM
haha, making you feel a bigger idiot, search results said: "Tip: Try entering a descriptive word in the search box." so I did that for the first time ever :p

that would have required ... reading...or something :P dammit. ah well, learn something every day

true that
learned in a shop the other day how you properly hang your fancy pants on a hanger with these clips
never new that

haha
WOW, think a bat just flew into a possum in the tree outside. What a racket!

you hallucinating?

no, I live near a park, there's a lot of both species around

1:11 PM
ok, then it makes more sense :p

:)

no bedtime yet over there?
must be really late by now :p

12.17am
watching a couple of episodes of tv, then crashing

ah, only 12.17, tought it was 12 hours with here

what tv shows are you watching at the moment?
still looking for some new ones

1:18 PM
Arrow and Flash
but if you like spy/drama, I just finished season 2 of The Americans (Russian spies living in the US) and it's pretty great
and if you don't yet watch Doctor Who, get into it ;)
</geek>

so many series I want to see, so little time :p

@RoflcoptrException just checking flight prices for all over the place. but europe will be cold, it's too expensive to get to mexico, so probably back to southeast asia for starters

@MarkMayo hey, can you explain something please.. maybe u know it..
why is there Canadian airports listed under the ESTA kiosk?
in the U.S. customs and border protection site..

Hehe
if flying from Vancouver to say, San Fran
you go through US Immigration IN Vancouver
so when you arrive in San Fran, you just walk off the plane like a domestic flight

mmmm like clearance in advance?

1:23 PM
so as a result, ESTAs get checked in Vancouver
yeah

same from winnipeg

ok nice to know..

I've done it there a couple of times and in Halifax

@Bernhard thanks for the tips.. already copied to my OneNote

wait, no, not Halifax

1:24 PM
@MeNoTalk You are welcome!

that one was into Boston and I did immigration in Boston

I heard that Emirates is doing this service to its first class passengers departing from Dubai to USA... they are cleared in Dubai.. not sure I just heard..

because the guy pretty much ignored how long I wanted (2 weeks) and wrote a month on the form/stamp thing

@MeNoTalk But then you need to deplane first class passenger through different routes on the airport, right?

@Bernhard I think that's already implemented.. many airlines do that..

1:26 PM
@MeNoTalk Ok, never used a plane like that then
economy anyhow ;)

the airlines I work at has a service. first class passengers get an envelope during flight which they put their documents and someone do it for them upon arrival..
not sure if its still going..

ah, well, it makes sense if you pay 10 times the amount of money for a flight, to have some additional service

its been a while i did not go to USA..
almost 1.5 years now..
or one year..

I waited at dulles for more than an hour at customs and immigration

man
i waited for 4 hours.. FEW TIMES..
even though i used to go to USA three times every month for three years...
most of the time i am cleared within an hours.. sometimes minutes.. sometimes FEW HOURS..

1:28 PM
oh, this was my first time :p
that was the good thing about clearance in canada
customs right after the security
so only queue at security, and only two people in front of me for customs
took me 15 minute total
and then I was leaving from the first gate after customs
maybe the complete from queueing at security to the gate was 15 min max
took me more time to connect to the wifi, lol

Winnipeg has wifi?? ;)

15 minuts clearance.. an arab never sees that.. never...

10 Commandments question is on hot list

@MarkMayo Yeah, new airport
@MeNoTalk I guess I did not see a single arab in winnipeg

i planned to start with the americans in the next few days @MarkMayo. Heard it should be really good

1:39 PM
yeah, I really enjoyed it
got a Russian colleague to watch it, he was skeptical but now likes it too

@MarkMayo I tried to watch doctor who... graphics is bad..
stories are cheap...
couldn't like it.. watched few episodes and couldn't continue..
the flash seems nice.. just downloaded episode 3.
"The 100" is good also..
"falling skies" is also good..
and of course, "once upon a time" is super good..

the graphics ni 2005 were very low budget, but they get better as the budget increases
the stories are great, you just have to remember it's also a family show
watch the episode called 'Blink'
it gets like 9.7 on imdb, fantastic

yes.. I am wondering why...

best episode of tv :)

it made me question imdb's credibility

1:51 PM
although an episode of Community comes very close
9.7 as well, and it's amazing

nothing beats The Sopranos

never watched it
watched the first epsode, never got into it :(
@RoflcoptrException actually
The Newsroom

I am watching "banshee"..

watch S1 and 2 before S3 starts in November

it is nice.. I am not really into action, but this one is nice..

1:52 PM
that's some quality stuff

the only series I recently watched are 24 and the big bang theory :o

24!! I don't like it
everyone does except me..
so it is my mistake for sure\

I used to love 24
but the latest series was a bit flat

they made a new season, right? didn't see that one yet

yeah, the one in London, 12 episodes

1:56 PM
@MeNoTalk I guess arab's are always the bad guys, and it is full of this us nationalism, but other than that I enjoyed

Some seasons. Others it was the Chinese (4-6? They kidnapped and tortured Jack)

ah, true, and of course the soviets :p
and these people from mexico and africa

and one season was some fake African nation
yeah

no canadians though as bad guy

Canadians always cute in movies...

1:59 PM
Jack's real life parents are Canadian, maybe that's why ;)

in arab movies, the Israelis are the bad ones...
or alqaeda..

funny how politics affect art

lol

I just googled Canadian bad guy

it is rather feeding on what people want to see

2:01 PM
and it came back with 'Justin Bieber'

hahahahhahahaahhahaha'

lol

I mean that's the worst Canadian
lol

on that note, I'm off to bed
night people

night :)

2:04 PM
already? :p
only 3pm

its 5 pm here..
u r in the EU then...

nice guess :)

I think u r german. right?

I don't know what you think :p
but I am not german ;)

the name gave me that impression
its not like ia m expert in names or anything.. just a bad guess.. sorry :)
then Dutch..

2:08 PM
