12:28 AM
@andra nothing is wrong at all with Gibraltar, I meant it in a good way actually..

1 hour later…
1:30 AM
bam!
I must be a poor traveller. I was in the neighbourhood and didn't bother with Gibraltar.
Just didn't feel like passing through the UK on my way between Spain and Morocco.

2 hours later…
3:02 AM
boo
@hippietrail whats up?

3:22 AM
first day of my "weekend". waiting for payday tomorrow ...
gotta renew my passport too. apparently i need new photos. have some somewhere but they're more than six months old
@MeNoTalk: what's up over there?

4:27 AM
@hippietrail nothing new for me..
paydays are nice.. today is my payday..

4:48 AM
i don't think my savings will pass $6k tomorrow but if they do it might be time to give notice

@hippietrail how long have u been working this time? less than 6 months I guess...

not quite five months so i'm ahead compared to the last two times

cool
i cant travel on my own now, not for some time..
my expenses are more than my income recently..

even with your airline employee discount?
you could sell one of the ferraris

the problem is not in the tickets..

4:52 AM
oh must be the 5-star hotels then d-;

I got a family, its just different.. no more being selfish.. I got to take full care of them and make all their wishes come true, and the left overs are for me.. this is how it is when you have family..
and kids are like spending machines.. even the little ones..

ah yes of course. upgrade everybody's iphone and then go travelling (-:

no iPhone in my family.. lol
@hippietrail how about your android project? u said u wanted to learn how to program for android

yeah when i visited my friend he didn't seem interested in talking about it

shame :/

5:04 AM
he wasn't interested in talking computer stuff at all so i dunno

you should teach yourself..
i do not think it would be hard..
I don't actually know whats the default programming language for android..
is it Java?

oh that's the easy part. i can't motivate myself through the boring parts without a partner

good that i am not like you..
otherwise i would never learn anything

also for bouncing ideas off somebody else
often you can solve each others little problems

is it Java for android?

5:12 AM
java makes me want to not be a nerd

why?
i don't do java.. i do c# mainly.. but it is so close to java..

@hippietrail it was on a reflection on myself. I have the autistic habit to got to weird places

ugly ugly ugly tons and tons and tons of shit that does nothing and then somewhere in one of dozens of files if you know where to look you might if you are lucky find the actual code that does something. maybe.

And Gibraltar is UK and at the same time it isn't
They drive on the right side of the road for example
and they use the pound, but it is the gibraltar pound, which is useless in the UK

@hippietrail you are totally wrong.. it is simple.. i guess you do not know what is OOP.. classes and stuff..

5:16 AM
i mean i still would go if i had a reason. but just wanting to go to morocco while i was in spain wasn't reason enough
@andra: i like weird places like liechtenstein and andorra and san marino and brunei but gibraltar just doesn't do it for me

You don't think it is the same thing?

@MeNoTalk: you guess wrong. i do oop and classes and stuff in a bunch of other languages

Isn't liechtenstein to switzerland, what Gibraltar is to the UK
or monaco to France
Andorra to Spain and France

or Bahrain to Saudi :D :D

whenever somebody sends me code to look at in java .... i can't find the bit that does stuff. it's all tons of long winded boilerplate spread out over so many files

5:18 AM
@hippietrail then do c#.. the best thing ever..

Not that I respect your choice not to go to Gibraltar

gibraltar has a royal family and secret accounts of the worlds most corrupt despots?

Also Gibraltar is the only place in Europe you'll find monkey's in the wild

@hippietrail I understand.. i sometime download codes for big projects, like Mozilla or MySQL.. check the code,, and i feel exactly what you feel..
@andra it is too small, are there wild areas in it?

except in the different house of parlement of course

5:19 AM
c# is ms-centric - useless anywhere else. i don't want to learn one language for each platform.

apparently on the rock there is a family of monkeys

"in the wild" that belongs to a monkey? d-;
lots of words formatted like code but no clue as to what they did or that they did anything of consequence
the last i was sent was very small - it finds the word breaks between thai words (thai doesn't use spaces). i got sick of opening every file and finding the code equivalent of legalese and propaganda and politicians making speeches
monkeys are ok but i've seen plenty in latin america and india.

oh no the helicopter service between mainland spain and cueta doesn't exist anymore :(
It is one of those travel.se answers I kept close only to use it when I would be in the neighbourhood again

cueta or ceuta?
now aogashima - there's a place that seems weird and interesting!

AFAIK, Ceuta is a Moroccan land...
"stolen" by Spain..

5:26 AM
@hippietrail comparing that with gibraltar reminds me of people not wanting to scuba dive in the north sea, because egypt has more beautiful fish
@MeNoTalk stolen is just a difference in historic opinion

maybe..

spanish see it has compensation for the marroccan occupation of spain

The name is Arabic for Ceuta is "Sabta"

@MeNoTalk: you probably can't see this repo: bitbucket.org/bytebuster463/common

nope, cant.. asked me to login

5:29 AM
The morroccan's in their turn "stole" western sahara

opinions ;)

hence the ""

morocco stole more of spain for more time than spain has stolen of morocco. just spain isn't finished yet
login isnt averb

yes.. true. but that was not morocco.. that was actually the ommayyid's.. for 700 years
all north Africa is not an arab land.. but we extended to there...

prob the morroccans who did the stealing back then are now genetically considered native spanish

5:31 AM
oh well that makes it ok then. spain had a different king and president at the time too.
revenge during the current regime or call foul d-:
it annoysme but somepeople prefer fewer spaces inbetween isuppose

but, that was long time ago.. and people who live there are arabs, the sons and daughters of the ones who invaded these lands..

I once made a major mistake in Morrocco to greet in Arabic, thinking it is considered a local language

well if spain keeps ceuta for long enough they'll also be able to get away on "but that was long time ago" so give them a chance

I have read a book sometime ago, that asks arabs to "get back whats rightfully theirs", and that's Spain.. :D funny..

arabs in moroccos are very contemptuous of berbers

5:34 AM
indeed it was a berber who told me he rather spoke french with me

ok but first they have to go back to what's rightfully their homeland. africa.

well, to be honest, north Africa has more arabs than natives..

we can all go back to our rightful homeland. oh but that was so long ago. so let's do more invading instead.

And hippie trail should go back to England ;)

and what if palestine had more jews than arabs?

5:35 AM
Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan.. almost all people there are pure arabs.. no natives there..
Algeria and Morocco has both, arabs and natives...

that's often the point of invading.
or "uigharstan" had more chinese than uighurs?
@andra should go back to greece

No one is claiming the lands in egypt or in Tunisia... they did in sudan and they got it..
unlike whats in Palestine..

usa got texas from mexico by sending more and more anglos there until they outnumbered the latinos

Australia as well..
;)

it's china's tactic in all areas that formerly or currently were/are minority areas

5:38 AM
Same as in Iran..
Ahwaz area..

well yeah the british and spanish were best at conquering

they move the arabs, and bring Persians..

british were better at wiping out natives. spanish were better at assimilating.

they faced a problems, arabs there make more kids than Iranians.. and arabs were so pissed to the point that almost 80-90% changed their religion to become sunnis..

this is what bits of europe are worried about re roma gypsies

5:40 AM
Mohammed Ali Pasha was nice at wiping people, his technique is nice. kill all men, screw all ladies.. same thing happened in an area in saudi.. his signature will stay forever.. same as in one area in Saudi.. he attacked there and people there have green eyes now.. lol
his army was Albanian and other eastern EU..

english lesson: you wipe a window or a bottom. you don't wipe a person. however if you are an evil despot you might wipe out a people.
but he wasn't a real muslim.

who cares if he was or not.. i hate it when people use the religion as a reason for their shit..

the mongols did it better than anyone else.
muslims taught me that's the right answer to say most of the time.

yes of course..Baghdad was wiped OUT,,, the smell of dead bodies reached to Damascus.. as told in history books..
for me, if i have the chance to wipe out some people, i will wipe out all sheikhs and religious people.. they are the evil.. good thing is, i do not have that powers..

maybe it's time for me to go for a walk, buy some lunch, pick up a passport form, ...

5:45 AM
enjoy mate.. it is time for me to get back to C# ;)

send me the version for my iPad d-;

lol

my Andrioid tablet then d-;

I bought two tablets online by mistake sometime ago.. i gave one to my son and the other was sitting here.. i gave it to a relative.. it should have been yours if you ever visited.. i owe you one.. remember?
breakfast time here.. see ya all..

i want to visit! i'll catch you in indonesia!

1 hour later…
7:04 AM
@MeNoTalk @andra I wanted to go to Gibraltar when I lived in UK, but at the time I was still torn as to whether it'd count as another country ;)
@hippietrail where's the plan this year for travel?

3 hours later…
9:56 AM
i didn't care whether it counted as a country. i don't travel to count imaginary boundaries imposed by arbitrary regimes. how boring would that be?
@MarkMayo: leave before christmas. wherever is interesting and i can get to cheap. since i can't find a cheap way to latin america and europe will be in deep freeze it's likely to be southeast asia for winter then probably some new adventures in china then ??? (-:

10:48 AM
Nice
Latin America is never cheap getting there :/
but good once you're there

1 hour later…
12:18 PM
This is funny, for left handed people: 9gag.com/gag/aYpompx

1 hour later…
1:27 PM
@hippietrail Exactly because it is arbitrary, it is fun. I learned quite a lot today about the Pound sterling.
All these arbitrary issues makes the explanation almost as if it is a genuine transcript from monty python
It seems to me that the UK would really really benefit from joining the Euro ;)
