@NiallC. @J. Musser @Stephie and others. Did I mis-identify the euonymous? Would appreciate input. If I was wrong, which I probably was, I can't delete the answer cuz it's accepted. From what I read, I can ask the OP to unaccept or a mod to delete. I could also add text pointing people to the right answer but that won't look good. What do you recommend? Very sad - that's the most rep I ever got :((( but the right answer's more important! Thanks for the help!

@Sue It looks like the OP is active on the network, so I'd just leave a comment on the question asking him to change the accept.

@OrganicLawnDIY Very sorry about your celosia! I think you're brave to even try them from seed again. I'll buy plants when they come out, they were beautiful last year. My chipmunks didn't like them, but after getting up-rooted and replanted a few times, they gave up and picked on something else. As you know, once grown, they transplant really well.
@NiallC. Perfect, thanks. Will go now and do that!
@OrganicLawnDIY Do you have your containers planted yet? Will be waiting for pictures......

Mods can delete accepted answers (and I've done it on G&L for someone that had an incorrect accepted answer and the OP had long since driven-by, never to be seen again), but it's best to get the OP's co-operation.

@Sue All containers are planted and hopefully I'll have pictures worth posting. Bought some celosia to be on the safe side and trying to keep up with the damage the squirrels are causing. Last year I did the celosia in miracle grow potting mix in larger 3601 trays. This year I did them in organic potting soil in smaller plug trays. 128 cell I think which should have been big enough. Everything but the celosia looks as good or better than last year.
that was from last year.

@OrganicLawnDIY beautiful!
My garden is much more hodge-podge - I usually claim "tamed wilderness" as my "design approach" ;-)
If something pops up in a place, seems to thrive and doesn't "get in the way", I usually let it be. Like my permanent Calendula patch that has been self-seeding and almost permanently flowering for two years now.
And if something has more uses than just being pretty, chances increase that it's welcome to stay - see the calendula example above.

@Sue sorry, can't really chime in as I'm not familiar with either and admittedly was too busy (or lazy?) for further research. Hence I didn't vote for either answer. And honestly, if a "wrong" answer gets - and stays - accepted, that's not the end of the world. Happens often enough on other SE sites. Every future reader should check not only the accepted, but also the other answers, or at least those with a significant number of upvotes. That's the big advantage of our voting system!
It's more obvious on other sites or other types of questions - the solution that the asker picked as "most helpful" for his needs doesn't necessarily fit all other readers.
