@4-K These beautiful plants are well suited to the size of pot. No up potting for awhile! Have you tried sterilizing the organic matter/soil in your oven yet??

@Bamboo This is a beautiful Snake Plant. But I don't think I will find it anywhere. Never saw a single snake plant in any nursery I have been to. Weird. Maybe I am looking in the wrong area. haha! And I have rarely seen Snake plant in anyone's home or balcony or in Garden. This is also weird. Maybe 2 in 50? And that's including me. haha!
@Bamboo Okay. Well, I cannot make the snake plant grow the tip again, and maybe I will also notice some difference if it grows or not. :)
Till now they all look like they haven't grown a bit, excluding new shoots.
@stormy @Bamboo I haven't re-potted the two plants. No, I didn't sterilize the soil/organic matter. I was told that it was already sterilized.
But I re-potted both of my Weeping Figs. There were ants in one of the rootball. I thought it best to remove those ants by shaking and taking the soil out. The other one is not draining well though, maybe it needed a much bigger pot? Both of my Weeping Fig were in 12" pot, and I moved them to 14" pot. With drainage hole and same Soil+organic matter.
Weird.

@4-K Sorry, Chiefie, my big boy kitty just helped me out, grins. So this place sells garden soil that they actually sterilized themselves? Whatever...it is very stinky let me tell you. 4K, perhaps you should ask us gals a question before you JUMP in...I think you were a plant in a past life!! You are so INTO your plants! Move out of India someday into a country with better soil and ammenities!! Ants are NOT a problem, they are one of the good guys. Yeah. they domesticate aphids but!
A leaf once formed within a vegetative bud grows into it's designated form. There is no growing back a portion once gone or damaged. Some animals can grow a tail back or a limb but like us peoples, once a hand is gone, it is gone. In the future this might change...grins. This is where you CUT with sharp floral shears or scissors the ruined tip off by cutting two angled cuts to form a new tip 'point'. At any time, you should be able to pop the plant out of its pot to check the roots.

Hi @stormy!

HI THERE Stephie!! Are you 'Stephanie' shortened to Stephie? Or were your parents smart to name you Stephie? Love that name. How the heck are you? What time is it for you right now? Are you October 24th yet?

Hi! It actually is "Stephanie" and I'm very grateful to my parents for not picking an abbreviated form. In fact, I resisted the nickname for years. And when I finally succumbed to peer pressure, I at least insisted to keep the 'ph' and 'ie'. Most here are "Steffi", which I can't stand ^_^
And it's still the 23rd - for another two hours.
I've been very busy with updating my resumee / cv and am working on my return to the workforce. Obviously I'm trying to find the best spot I can get, even with the "disadvantage" of only working part time.

@Stephie So I've been blown away at your points 69K? I can't tell if this is for Gardening or is it for...language? Cooking? My eyesight sucks. I have a Stephie niece...that I adore! So it is 10 pm for you? Are you a night owl or is it bed time soon?

The 65K is all profiles combined - mostly cooking, German, some English Language Learners, some other stuff. see here. Gardening is "only" 7k...
I'm in bed already, ignoring all sage advice of not using electronics at bedtime. I'm an owl by nature, buy forced to get up around 5:40.

Whoever it is that can entice you and your brain will be lucky! Have you got a one or a two pager? What is a cv? Do not feel any guilt about demanding part time! You probably have medical and don't need it anyway, right? Oh, so very much fun for you, Stephie. Life is amazing and when people say it is so short THAT IS TRUE. One day you wake up and go OMG. grins!!
I am a night owl as well. Had no idea until I 'retired'...Staying up all night well into the morning to wake up late morning is my schedule now. My hubby is the exact opposite. At least this works well with the fireplace as that is our only heat!
What job position is it again that you are wanting to get? You are amazing....

8:10 PM
@stormy oh, the customary paperwork is somewhat different here - a lot more "history", I even have my final high school grade and main subjects listed. Kind of ridiculous compared to the US, but I didn't make the "rules".
I'm looking for a position in project management with a strong technical / computer science background. Looking over my resumee, it fits to what I did in basically all past jobs.

8:22 PM
@stormy thanks for the vote of confidence. My contact at HR isn't convinced yet, but she's a) pretty young and b) new... I'm doing a lot of networking these days, talking to former collegues and such.

Wow, Stephie...ALL THE WAY BACK TO HIGHSCHOOL? Grins! You must have a 3 pager minimum!! Yeah, I was yelling!!
Have you watched the Alan Turing movie? Whoa, a brilliant dude...that first COMPUTER just entranced me. 'Imagination'...something or other for the title of the movie with Benjamin Cumberback (something like that)...watch HIS interview as Alan Turing, grins!
I gotta go...I allow myself a few hours on the computer, I could spend all day on this damn thing. I do miss my books...take care and be at peace. The adrenaline of life CAN age one quickly if overdone...

The Cumberbatch movie? Noooo! We missed that movie. But I sooooo wanted to go. Have to see if I can find it online.

It is on the internet...hey, Netflix!!

@stormy good night! Take care! I was so happy to catch you, it's a rare treat!

I loved him as Sherlock Holmes...he is perfect as a 'genius'!!
