How so I suggest a post from another site belongs on this one "Gardening and Landscaping"? I've tried the meta section and it won't accept my post. Help has nothing that I could find.
@EricDeloak Yes, that's a low quality question (beats me why it has all those upvotes).
If you did want to move it, you could flag it for a moderator, using a custom message. I see you don't have vtc privs there. It's ultimately up to those guys anyway
One could also argue that this question belongs here. There is some overlap.
@J.Musser They have comments for posts like these that ask about "relevance to sustainability". The meta site for Gardening would not allow my posts - not sure what was up - still won't.
@EricDeloak Hi Eric! I took a look at your profile and you should be able to post on G&L meta (you only need 5 rep to post there, and none of the quality blocks apply) . Let me know if you continue to have problems and I'll escalate it to SE.
@NiallC. I was just asking for future reference... How to suggest a move.
@NiallC. I get this when I try to post: "This question body does not meet our quality standards. Please make sure that it completely describes your problem - including what you have already tried - and is written using proper grammar" My question is this "I've just seen a post on the Sustainable Living site that really belongs here. How do I suggest this?" - and I've tried other ways of phrasing it.
@EricDeloak Ah, OK. Since G&L is a beta site, it needs a moderator on the source site to move a question here; regular users can't do it. You can leave a comment there suggesting it be moved, though that often backfires because the OP will just repost it here. You can leave a custom flag there asking for it to be moved, but you run the risk of having your flag declined if the post is on-topic on that site.
You can also drop a link to it in this chat room and when I see it I can discuss it with the other site moderators
@EricDeloak What was the question title? That plays into it too
