@Sue No, you have to have 15 rep on the site. That shouldn't be hard to do though. Once you go over 200 rep on one site, you will get a +100 rep bonus an all sites.

@Sue It's not really an election. People are just voting up the folks they wanna see as mods, and the SE team will come in a few days (usually) and appoint some (usually three).
