@William .ing is another one of Google's domain, it might be a while (up to the end of the year?) when it's released. When it is, it will be listed here: registry.google/about/domains.html You can also view the delegation by ICANN for new domain extensions here: gtldresult.icann.org/application-result/applicationstatus/…

@dan Yes it might be a while. I was reacting to the fact .and .est & .are have been withdrawn from google which leaves .ing. They would have been all good for domain hacks.

@William ICANN releases about 20 extensions per week, so as not to flood the market too fast with too many extensions. .ing would seem to be a good domain hack for sure - it suggests a form of action, which is always good in marketing. I will say that it's somewhat reassuring that Google's gotten in the registry game, which suggests they'll be treating the new gTLD's equally when it comes to their algorithms.
